Help!!!!

I've topped up my FAP fluid today (3 litres) but service light and FAP warning are still showing. Do i have to pay Citroen to turn off service lamp & Warning, or will it reset it's self?

I have a 2009 (59) C5 2.0 HDI 4 door in silver

Many thanks

Does the counter know how much fluid you've got, or does it just trigger the light after so many fuel fills? I'm thinking of topping mine up soon hopefully before the light comes on to save having it reset, is that a good idea?

The fluid level is not measured, just calculated on the no. of diesel tank fills and mileage. So after so many miles/fill ups it thinks the level is low. Topping up the level  will not stop the low level messages until the diagnostic using a Lexia to tell the car the fluid has been topped up.

Would  it harm the seals/injectors in the fuel system of my 2006 C5 2 litre diesel if I add the Fap fluid to the fuel when I fill up the tank. Purely as a temporary measure.

On here people have said if there is fluid in the eolys tank it will continue to be dosed in to the fuel tank, even if you are getting low level messages. The eolys is used up at about 3 litres in 80000 miles to give you an idea of how much to dose if the eolys runs out - this is approximately 18 ml per fuel tank fill of 50 litres if you average about 45 mpg (10 miles per litre). It would need adding before you put the fuel in to make sure it mixes in. Since this is the normal concentration in the diesel tank it should not cause any harm.
