Resetting Service Indicator And Updating Satnav?

Hi guys, i'm hoping some one may be able to help with this. The car was serviced prior to me collecting, at a private garage, however they have not reset the service light! I have found this procedure (also confirmed by Citroen locally) but it has not worked??

 

Procedure i was told was....

 

Close all doors.
Switch ignition off.
Repeatedly press the†info†button (located to the right of the instrument cluster) until the spanner symbol is displayed.
Press and hold the “info†button until the spanner symbol flashes then release the “info†button.
While the spanner symbol is flashing press and hold the “info†button.
The display will now change to CLEAR; the distance to the next service will now appear in the display.
Now release the “info†button.

 

 

As said, this does not work, the spanner flashes but does not show "CLEAR" and does not reset the mileage indicator to next service??

 

secondly, is there anywhere i can buy a map update for my system, only found 1 place at £169!!!!

Try: - whilst holding down the button, turn on the ignition to the second position. See if it counts down.

Thanks mate. .....success!! Don't know why but it's worked now!!!

 

Now to find a map update for less than the £169 citroen want!! I thought Garmin was dear!!!

John, im not sure on this, still trying to establish that. I have the factory fitted upgrade system with dvd, satnav, gracenote, hdd etc.... but not sure what the navigation system is!!!

In the handbook under audio -telematics system, Information, it tells you how to see the system versions, so this may help. Based on a handbook for a C-Crosser 2010 to 2011 on the service.citroen site http://service.citroen.com/ddb/
