johnnythomps Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Hello everyone! I've just purchased a 2005 C4 VTS which I'll be collecting tomorrow. I have a few questions and it seems like someone on here might be able to help or point me in the right direction. 1. The car I've purchased has suffered from the dreaded glove box issue. This has been reflected in the price as I needed to get the car on the road and sort it at my leisure rather than waiting for the dealer to fix it, so that's not a problem. The question I have is whether or not the repair part for a standard C4 will do the job for my VTS, or if it is a different part? 2. I'm interested in retrofitting an Aux input to the car and want to know the best way of doing this. Is it possible to do this with the original stereo and firmware? If not, I'd be happy to replace the stereo as long as I'd be able to retain use of the buttons on the steering wheel to control the volume etc.. Could anyone advise? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Quote
paul.h Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Welcome to the forum. What is the dreaded glove box issue ? A look at the parts diagrams does not show any different parts across the models for the glove box other than colours/finish and that depends on the car VIN. If it is the handle that has broken then it looks as if an aftermarket handle will be cheaper than a new lid from Citroen at about £60 for a stainless steel handle vs about £130 for a new lid with the handle (Citroen do not list the handle separately). Johndouglas Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 If you Google "How to fix a C4 glove box handle" you'll find various leads on how to do a mend. Quote
