Ok so vans last problem sorted so far I have fixed

Strut top mount and bearings, cv joint, given it a good service ( which was BADLY needed!) I took near 7 litres oil out when it should only have 5.3l ( according to handbook)

So my questions are this

Does anyone know where the fuse box is? Cig lighter ain't working lol

Any idea on prices or ability to change clutch & flywheel?

And has anyone come up with a solution to condensation on the roof? I have a wee plug I. Heater in the back ATM, seems to help

And finally anyone know a good place to get new door seals?

Thanks!

The condensation might be prevented if some insulation is stuck inside the roof.

I would check the oil level frequently in case it is increasing due to an injector leak, rather than the previous owner putting too much in.

In the C5 section somebody has been quoted about £750 for a clutch and dmf replacement at Mr Clutch. The eurocarparts site will give you an idea of the parts cost but could be about £400.

How the battery is disconnected/reconnected can lead to electrical problems and I have found the following copied from the C5 technical section Common Problems pinned post has not resulted on any problems on our cars. There is also a bsi reset procedure in the same section.

16. Odd electrical problems caused by wrong battery disconnection procedure.

If you need to disconnect the battery and not do a BSI reset procedure, I have found the following has not given me any problems on a 2004 and 2007 C5 and a 2003 C3:

- remove the ignition key from the car

- open the bonnet

- wait a few minutes for the BSI to shut down

- disconnect the battery negative terminal

When reconnecting

- ignition key out of the car

- reconnect the battery

- wait a few minutes

- insert the key in the ignition and wait a minute

- turn the key to the first position and wait a minute

- turn the key so the dash lights come on and wait a minute

- start the engine

- take the windows down and up to reset the anti pinch

- reset the clock (and radio on the C3).
