novicejohn Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 hi,i drive a c4 1.4 petrol and just lately when reaching 2000 revs the car starts to judder/kangarooing,reduce revs and drives ok.Have tried wynns injector cleaner with no joy.Took it to citroen garage who put it on their diagnostics but no faults shown so booked it in for a service.Took it for a drive after service still no joy. When it reaches 2000 revs (in any gear) the rev counter jumps from 2000 to zero several times and that's when I get that judder.Regards novicejohn Quote
paul.h Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Welcome to the forum. With the car stationary and then gradually increasing the revs, does the problem still happen - if so it could be the accelerator pedal electrics are worn. According to the Haynes manual it is held by 3 nuts and has a wiring connector to undo. If you have a code reader that does live data, you could check the pedal output to see if it increases gradually or if not, you could probably use a meter on the pedal electrical pins to see if the resistance gradually changes as the pedal is moved. A new pedal for a C3 1.4 petrol was about £50 2 years ago from a dealer. Quote
coastline taxis Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Ask the dealer if they changed the fuel filter during the service if not then change it. Quote
paul.h Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 The parts diagrams show the petrol filter is located on top of the fuel tank and from the eurocarparts site they are about £4. Quote

paul.h Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Thank you for getting back to us and hopefully it was not too expensive to fix. I have changed the topic title slightly to help when searching. Quote
