topgear7 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) I have Citroen dispatch 2010 plate I bought spotlights and one of the local street mechanics tried to wire them but it has not worked and he has messed it up The airbag light is on after the failed attempt to wire spotlights up any ideas why this on and any way I can get it off ? The spotlights have been disconnected now and only one of my lights is working and when on main beam only one light working The main thing I am trying to get to the bottom of is why air bag light any help would be great Edited March 29, 2015 by topgear7 Quote
coastline taxis Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 You need to find out which way he wired them up. where he got power from and what other things he done. your van has a canbus system that wont take kindly to having bits added onto it without being told. the wiring is already there for them so all you really need to get them working is foglights, fuse and diagnostic equipment Quote
paul.h Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 If you are lucky the air bag light may be on if a front seat has been moved and a connector under it disturbed - if not then coastline has outlined what needs doing. Beware that whilst the light is on the air bags are unlikely to work if needed and a code reader that covers air bags may be needed to turn the light off - it may also give a clue as to the problem if your mechanic does not know.
