charles Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Citroen C5 hdi sx 2003 beep and warning diesel filter esperanser etc goes into safety mode. Has passed the M O T LEXIA fault code p0380 heater plug circuit p1447 air assist control valve circuit malfunction . Does anyone know the part no and its location. Photo to if poss. I have had it into two garages filled the epaloids fluid and changed the diesel filer cap switch.cost nerly £400 Quote
paul.h Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I tried google searches on 'esperanser' and 'epaloids' but could not find anything related to cars. Please could you explain what is meant. If your engine is the 2.2 hdi I suspect you mean the exhaust dpf filter has blocked and that you have topped up the eolys fluid. If so then possibly the dpf needs cleaning or replacing. You could try running the engine at about 3000 rpm for a while to regenerate the dpf or remove it and try water jetting it to remove the ash. On here the fault code definitions are:P1447 ELC System Closure Valve Flow Fault.P0380 Glow Plug/Heater Circuit "A" Malfunction - you can probably ignore this unless it is not starting in cold weather. An internet search on P1447 suggests the fault could possibly be the dpf pressure sensor - if you follow the pressure pipes from the dpf they should go to the sensor (maybe one of the pipes has come off or is damaged). With your Lexia you may be able to see what values it is giving to see if they are normal or showing it to be faulty. Quote
charles Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 YES YOU AR CORRECT IT IS ESP/ASR DIESEL FILTER ANTIPOLLUTION AND WARNING LIGHT COME ON AND GOSE IN TO LIMP MODE AND ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT thankes for yor comment will have a look at week end Quote
charles Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Fitted the DPF pressure sensor and cancelled fault codes and road tested went in to limp mode after four miles fault code P0722 (speed sensor circuit no signal )P0115 Coolant can you help Quote
Johndouglas Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Epaloids - Might he be referring to Eolys fluid? Quote
paul.h Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 P0722, output speed sensor no signal could possibly be a speed sensor on the gearbox - does your car have an automatic gearbox ? Could also be the camshaft sensor or the crankshaft sensor since these are also sometimes called speed sensors. However, the crankshaft sensor is likely to stop the engine if it fails or prevent it starting and the camshaft sensor uses different fault codes. The HP20 auto box has an input speed sensor and an output speed sensor as well as the engine speed sensor. P0115 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Malfunction - using your Lexia see what temperature the engine coolant is giving - it should be the outside temperature of around 12°C before the engine has been started and then go to about 95°C once the engine has warmed up. If not then possibly the temperature sensor on the end of the cylinder head needs replacing or the wiring or wiring connector is faulty. Quote
