Hi.

I want to replace the original radio in my 2007 c4. I want to replace it with an dab radio wich needs an extra antenna in the front windshield on the passenger side with partial touch of steel (a pilar).

Does anyone knows how to unmount the dashboard and other plastic to easily pull the antenna cord to the radio area?

Welcome to the forum.

There is a Haynes workshop manual for the C4 which you would find useful. When fitting aftermarket radios often things on the car will no longer work such as the steering wheel controls, so you would need to check this before you buy the new radio.

From the Haynes manual to remove the A pillar trim:

- prise the weather seal from the area of the trim

- pull the trim away from the pillar starting at the top being careful not to damage the wiring loom which may be fastened to the pillar.

The trim panels under the facia are held by plastic rivets which are removed by first pulling out the inner plastic pins. The trim panels at the side of the footwells are held by screws. The facia end panels are removed by pulling them free of their retaining clips. With these removed you may be able to thread the new wire without having to remove any more of the dashboard.

depending on the make of the aftermarket stereo your putting in some cross-over leads are available which will allow the steering wheel controls to be used. again depending on the model a diagnostic maybe required as your car has the canbus sytem and will need to be told that the stereo,s have been swapped or the ecu will be waiting for the original stereo to send a signal back to the ecu
