Hi all. I have a 08 c crosser and recently a hissing noise has started from behind the brake pedal. When I put my foot on the pedal it stops. Anyone ever have this problem or point me in the right direction for what I need. Thank you.

It sounds as though you have a leak in the brake booster. The leak may be internal or in the vacuum hose. Check the hoses in the engine compartment first. With the engine ticking over, you are looking for air being sucked in.

If the air leak is in the brake booster (brake servo) you may notice it does not retain a vacuum whilst the engine is off so the brake pedal will be hard to push down soon after the engine is stopped, whereas normally the pedal can be used a few times before all the vacuum is used and the pedal goes hard.
