Poker Andrew Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I have recently purchased a 2002 C5 Estate, which has a few niggling issues which I hope someone can give me some guidance on. When I bought the car the Radio/CD player was in the slot but not connected. I the previous owner my have had an alternative fitted. I have reconnected the plugs and antenna to the rear of the unit but there doesn't seem to be any sign of life. I have checked that there is 12V coming into the power in plug/socket and checked the fuse in the back of the unit. As this is the first Citroen I have owned I'm not sure what sort of display I should get, maybe something on the central dash display? How can I tell if the unit is faulty or could there be something else that I'm not doing correctly. I have carried out the BSI reset process but this does not seem to have had any effect. If the unit is faulty are there spare units available through the forum? Andrew Quote
coastline taxis Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 have you got all the multiplugs in. if you have then have you checked the earth going to the set. If all ok then i would say the radio itself is goosed. try a aftermarket 1 and see if that works Quote
Poker Andrew Posted September 24, 2015 Author Posted September 24, 2015 Yes, I have all the multiplugs in, three in total. I have checked the 12v feed between the earth and grey cable (I think). So its highly like that the unit is goosed. Are there any replacements available within the forum? Quote
coastline taxis Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 ive got 2 or 3 lying around and your more than welcome to one of them. you will however have to get them coded in to your car using lexia or a good diagnostic kit Quote
paul.h Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Some radios have a fuse inside so it may be worthwhile having a look. Quote
