whatsup Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 My C4 Picasso 1.6 Hdi, has a 60Ltr.fuel tank,(according to the handbook)but the low fuel warning comes on when there is still at least 10 Ltrs left. only manage to get 50Ltrs more into tank. anyone else with this problem? Quote
paul.h Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 The following is from a 2008 handbook saying the low level message is given at about 7 litres left so your 10 litres unless measured may not be accurate. It is also spread out over a flat surface so the depth of fuel will not be much and going up/down a hill may starve the pick up to the pump with a risk of damaging the pump so I would be reluctant to run at very low levels. Fuel lowwarning lampWhen the tank is full, all the barsare lit up.If the fuel low warning lamp comeson accompanied by a beep anda message on the multifunctionscreen, there are approximately7 litres of fuel remaining in the tankand 2 or 3 bars flash in the instrumentpanel. When the last bar goes out, thereare approximately 2 litres of fuel remainingin the tank. MikeLane Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 "When the last bar goes out, there are approximately 2 litres of fuel remaining in the tank." ..and you risk blocking the fuel filter with all the rubbish in the tank. Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 there are approximately 2 litres of fuel remaining in the tank." And even that disappears if you happen to run up against a hill. Quote
