Goldfazer Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Hi, the Mrs has had a Xsara HDi 90 for the last 9 yrs and it's been a great car. Decided to get something newer and a bit better on the motorway and ended up with a 2008 C4 VTR+ diesel 3dr with 61k miles. I have to say it's a lovely car, and much plusher than the Xsara! Also has a sensible amount of power. Quote
paul.h Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Welcome to the forum, which engine does it have ? If the 1.6 hdi you need to keep on top of the oil/filter changes. Quote
Goldfazer Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 Cheers Paul, it is. Had a minor service done inc. oil/filter before we bought it, so I'll make sure it's done on time or before. Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 the Mrs has had a Xsara HDi 90 for the last 9 yrs and it's been a great car. My second daughter bought a 90bhp Xsara new in 2002 and kept it until last year when she part ex'd it for a 3month old 1.6 C4. I got her Xsara through every MOT with just normal service and maintenance of brakes etc. I see on the DVLA website that its new owner also recently got a new MOT with just a tail & headlight bulb being required. 145000 miles. She would love to have kept it but her company would no longer pay her mileage allowance because of its age. Quote
