micky b Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Hi all, just signed up and thought I would throw this out there to start with. I have a 2007 1.6 hdi with an egs autobox, and 66000 miles on the clock.Car runs fine mostly, up and down all gears ok, but the problem ids first thing in the morning( I start at 0500 most days) and the starting after work. Car starts fine but when pulling away can be a bit slow in the take up or worse feels like someone keeps cutting the fuel off for a few seconds so it feels like the front end is going to fall off, it rattles and shakes quite violently, normally get the for the first 5 ten minds the ok, have been to the garage I got it from, they serviced it, changed fuel filter and said all should be ok... its not!! Any body got any likely culprits before I go back again,( once car has warmed up or run its later usually ok) Micky b Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 A few weeks ago I was reading on another forum about a similar problem on a egs autobox. Apparently the cure was to have the car connected to a lexia, run a diagnostic check on the car, then select the gearbox ecu and run a calibration programme. Quote
micky b Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Thanks for that, do you know if it cured the problem or just put it off for a while? Ta. Quote
paul.h Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 If doing a diagnostic check for the gearbox, you may as well have other things checked such as the temperature sensors and air flow meter to ensure these are ok. Quote
