stevestoys Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Ive bought a horn to change on my 2003 citroen c8 2.2 HDI because mine sounds like a mini or motorbike horn...but cant find it....I don't want to keep pressing it and annoying the neighbours so does anybody know where it is...Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 The parts diagrams suggest it may be at the driver's side behind the headlight, possibly in the inner wing. Times to replace though are about 40 minutes or if the engine and gearbox are removed about 6 minutes. Quote
Hawkeye Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Bit late to this one but may help someone else. Horns are below driver's side headlight. Access from underneath by popping the wheel arch cover off with wheels on full right lock. Quote
Coffeejohnny Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Any thoughts, my horn had to be replaced as stopped working prior to last MOT and it went again the other day. Quote
paul.h Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Maybe it has got water in it or a wiring connection on it has corroded and needs cleaning up. Quote
DazoUK Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 i had some one try to steal my car and now the horn is not working is thier something thay have done to disable it i did test the fuse and its all good please help if you can thanks Quote
paul.h Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 If you can get to the horn, you could remove its electrical connector and put a volt meter across the connector or a light bulb and get somebody to try the horn button. This will check if it is the horn or the supply to it. What damage was done to your car, anything to the steering wheel ? Quote
DazoUK Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 not that i can see but i will check this weekend with the connector Quote
paul.h Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Was the horn working the day before the attempted theft or did you only find it was not working after ? Horns only tend to be used at MOT time so if it failed on my car it could be up to a year before I found out. Quote
