Old Mosher Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) Hi. Having fun with the Parking Assistance. I've got a fault code FBC3 (front permanent fault inner front RH sensor). I assumed from that its the drivers side inner front censor, or do they mean as you are looking at it? Any who, I popped it out and it's marked up PSA96 496 141 77 XT0 263 003 246 (965)00970F 060526/Q6BOSCH made in Spain(C0351 under the bar code)I've searched the net and eBay but all I can find is PSA9663821577 and so on. no 964's also one polish site said something about NO - XT. Is it obsolete, what will work? This is on an 07 2.0 HDi Exclusive this time. My old 01 2.2 has blown its turbo and is sitting on the lawn till I get around to scrapping it. paul.h Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 You could try a dealer for a new one, I think I read somewhere (Car Mechanics ?) that Citroen have reduced the cost of these to something reasonable. On ebay you would be better using the Citroen part no. from the parts diagrams. If not done already, register on the service.citroen.com site as an other professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Quote
Old Mosher Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Ok. 00006590A5. but i cant figur out where the price is? Quote
paul.h Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Using that part no. 6590A5 in ebay came up with £15.99 for an aftermarket one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Parking-Sensor-PDC-CITROEN-Berlingo-C4-C5-C6-DS3-9663821577-6590A5-6590-A5-/281297368070 I have not used the citroen service site to get parts prices before so maybe this does not work. I have used citroencarparts.net but recently the site has not been working. Quote
Old Mosher Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Yes, I asked the local dealer for a price, it was smthing like 82 quid inc. He confirmed the 6590A5 but couldn't give me any other numbers from the sensors. he had a look around on the system and the only number he could find for that model/year was the 6590A5 front and back. other info I found on the net seems to suggest that any of that type of unit should work and if they don't it's sometimes down to a bug in Lexir. The way around that is to use PP as a Pug 407 to configure the parking system (allegedly) . Any who, with all that in mind I ordered one from eBay and it should be here tomorrow..... ish. So "I'll be back" going, beep,,,,beep,,,beep,,beeeeep ..... I'll get my coat. Quote
coastline taxis Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 hello mosh. sorry to hear about the old girl dying. ebay it as spares or repairs and dont go a penny under 500 as its a relativly easy fix. and ive been under your car and no its in good condition and what youve had done to it. Yor new c5 has the canbus sytem on it so b4 fitting the sensor shut the bsi down properly and disconect the battery and if your lucky the ecu might find the new sensor and accept it without any trouble. make sure you wake the ecu up properley mind Quote
ESL57 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 On the Citroen Service site: To get parts prices, click the Order menu. On the drop down list you will see a rectangular box and a tick symbol.Put the Part No in and click on the tick symbol. This gives price with vat. What it doesn't tell you is that although items are priced each, there is sometimes a minimum packet order. It could be pack of 2, 5, or 10. Lots of items are available in one of mind you. Quote

I did look on eBay, there's a silver 02 plate exactly the same, even has the limited edition sunroof, satnav, cd auto-changer, full leather upholstery and all the toys. Says it needs belt, pulley, power steering rack and calipers 250 quid or offers. But its way up north so too far for me to get it and make a very good one out of the two.Shut the bsi down before the battery. is there a procedure? sounds a little different to the old one. Quote
