sifaan Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Hi I tried logging in to service.citroen.com today (via Safari and firefox) and get the error message:"Votre pays de connexion n'est pas celui configuré, veuillez contacter votre administrateur ( public.service@citroen.com )" (google translation - Your login country is not the one configured , please contact your administrator ( public.service@citroen.com ) I think I have registered as UK although I am in Sri Lanka, and am not sure if they have recently started some IP based checking (I found this error message also in a croatian forum and also a czech Peugeot forum, although those countries do have localisation on the site) Is it working normally for you? If so, it's probably some kind of IP check and I need to try a better proxy than what I did already (to no avail) Thanks! Quote
Johndouglas Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I think you're right on it. I get the same message box because I spend four months in Spain. I can't log on here whereas I have no difficulty when at home. My Norton programme normally logs me in automatically. Quote
MikeLane Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 The ISP you are using in Sri Lanka attaches a "country of origin" tag when you log in as do all ISPs, so Citroen (like the BBC and other organisations) knows where you are and filters accordingly. You may be able to start again from Sri Lanka with service.citroen - new ID and login details - but I wouldn't bank on it!Also your device probably tags outgoing messages. Quote
sifaan Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 I wouldn't mind creating a new account, but there isn't an option to create a new account when I access from here(haven't seen one for quite a while) - maybe the "crackdown" started much earlier... Quote
Johndouglas Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I don't know if this is of help to you. Have a look at these:- http://www.emanualonline.com/Cars/Citroen/Citroen-C5-Workshop-Repair-And-Service-Manual.html This e-manual is a pirated copy of service.citroen. Don't ask me why Citroen let them get away with it. It needs to run on an XP virtual machine. They give you the download for it. However, not only does it give the usual service.Citroen information, but it gives you access to the repair procedures. Something Citroen normally make a charge for. You can pay for a download or for an extra fiver you can get it all on DVDs Quote
sifaan Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Thanks, I'm downloading it off a torrent - it's less convenient than the online service (especially with the XP VM hassle) but that looks like the only option for me :( (and I'm guessing it's too much trouble for Citroen to shut these down) Quote
Yorki Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 In the bottom right hand corner of the page there is a flag. Click on it and it brings up a list of languages. Click on English and thas up n running Quote
Citroendispatch11 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Emanualonline is very poor, eBay better option perhaps Quote
sifaan Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Hi again Finally got around to checking my old download ("Citroen Service Box (DocBackup + Sedre) (11.2013)") and I think this doesn't have the functionality that was provided by service.citroen.com - is that correct? i.e. the emanualonline offering is something different? Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 I got the service box on dvds rather than a download. Only problem with this is they are not up to date and it seems the latest version available is 2014 so the dealers are probably only using on-line versions. As a result parts numbers may have changed and any updates to procedures are not available but it is possible to pay for access to the service.citroen.com procedures on-line if you are in a country that supports this. Hi Paul What to you use to get access to the part numbers? From my installation I have Diagbox (that's for the diagnostic tool?)Citroen Sedre backup (wiring diagrams)Citroen DocBackup (get an error saying the application is out of date) - is this the one I should use for part numbers? thanks Quote
paul.h Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 It is the doc back up which has the parts diagrams and the workshop procedures. I do not have diagbox. Quote
