Davie206 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 We have a 2007 1.6 HDI C5 mk2 with major electrical issues. The car had is a non starter and had no communication to engine ecu with delphi or bosch kts and gave a u0015 fault on the can bus, I also used lexia on it but it will only have dialogue with the suspension ecu for which it gives a lot of faults, some related to no communication with abs module.Spent tuesday checking wiring again and fuses, relays etc. I cant see any damaged wiring or corrosion either. Finally managed to get communication to the ecu after cleaning all earths, disconnecting-reconnecting wiring and got the following faults with delphi - p1590, p0104, p0238, p0183, p1471, p0122, p0405, p0193, p0104, p0113, and a 40A Oil level gauge - No symptom fault on the BSI module. I could clear all these fault codes and all I was left with was front left and front right abs sensor faults. A bsi reset does nothing to help and after disconnecting the battery and doing a bsi reset etc I now get no communication with engine ECU again - unable to read fault codes. ABS module is recieving power, ecu is recieving power, suspension ecu is recieving power.I cant use lexia as the only module that it will communicate with it is the suspension ecu where it shows front body height sensor - Sensor power supply missing. The bsi shows signs of being in backup mode after doing a bsi reset, front sidelights come on and intermittent front wipers.Does anyone know if the abs pump on the c5 grounds to the chassis ? as it is bolted to to the chassis and the nuts/bolts holding it to the chassis are badly corroded ? Delphi kit also shows headlamp unit, power steering ecu, tyre pressure monitioring, suspension ecu as non responding modules. Quote
Davie206 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 looks like the headlamp ecu, engine ecu and tyre pressure ecu, are wired in after the abs module and these are the modules that I get no communication with, the power steering. Suspension and power steering modules are also connected to the abs module. Quote
paul.h Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Welcome to the forum. What is the battery voltage - if low C5s can show all sorts of odd electrical problems. Without the engine running it should be about 12.5 volts or a bit higher. Quote
coastline taxis Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Sounds like your going to have to go back to basics with this and start from the begining. 1 use only one scanner2 do the hazzards work without the key in3 does the ignition come on (check all dash lights) and will the engine turn over4 does the car start5 do all the lights work eg brake lights, fog, side, indicators etc etc and chech stereo and has any phone or ipod etc etc systems been fitted let us know what the results are please Quote
