Yorki Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Ive just bought a 2005 multispace forte, and there are one or two things that don't seem quite right. the main being that unless the ignition is on or the doors are open, the interior lights don't work in the permenantly on position. Is this as they are or is something wrong The other thing being the drivers seat is too low for my liking. Is there a model that had a height adjustable seat, or has anyone lifted their seat or fitted ones from another car Quote
paul.h Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Welcome to the forum. The interior light switches on some cars may have 3 positions or 3 switches -- always off,- on when the doors are opened or as it is unlocked or the ignition key just removed for a preset time, - on but if the car is in economy mode they will not work until after the engine has run. So if your car is not in economy mode then maybe the switch is faulty. You can look at the parts diagrams to see what other seat options are available. Yorki Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Thanks for the reply Paul. All three of the lights are the same so I presume it is in the economy mode. Any idea how to get it out of it. Will look at that site later and see what other options there are Quote
Johndouglas Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I presume it is in the economy mode. Any idea how to get it out of it. It comes out of economy mode automatically after the engine has started. Then the engine needs to run long enough to raise the voltage level - otherwise if switched off too quickly will revert to economy mode quite quickly. Quote
Yorki Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 It's a brand new battery so I can't see that being the reason. Never known interior lights on any vehicle need the ignition to be on so they work Quote
