I got a big dent in my driver's door when it snowed earlier this month. Luckily no one else involved and no harm done to me.

I got a replacement door from a breakers and after fitting it and connecting the electric block I can't get the window or other electrics in it to work. I haven't tried changing the locks over yet.  I've put the old door back on and all the electrics work fine.

Any idea what I need to do to get the car to recognise the replacement door?

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe the wiring in the replacement door is damaged or it is wired differently. If nothing obvious then you may need to swap the wiring over.

Thank you, changing over all the looms look daunting.  The door came from an Exclusive model and has 1 extra pin on the connecting block so it probably is wired differently..

I got a second door from a breakers and result! This time electrics work, mirror, window, other windows. Well chuffed.

The barrell lock is different to my key but using the passenger door lock, locks entire car. Are there any videos or guides anywhere on line on how to change the barrels over?

Thank you, I couldn't get my hand inside the door to unclip the lock so took an angle grinder to the dented door and then took off the horseshoe clip and hey presto, out popped the lock barrel.  I've no idea how to retro fit it to the new door without damaging it though, key hole surgery is beyond me.  Still, the car locks from passenger side so all is not lost.
