bob lawrence Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 the off side headlight motor has stopped working, and I understand it is fitted inside the headlight. I can't find anything on YouTube or google showing how to remove it, can anyone help. Thanks Quote
coastline taxis Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 they wernt fitted till the mark 2 came outso got to be after 2009 and if its a exclusive it wont have them Quote
Muggle Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Actually they were fitted earlier than that - my 2006 Exclusive has them. A motor went a couple of years ago while in the dealer's garage being adjusted and fortunately they changed it for me. Apparently, apart from trying to cycle the motor from left to right, they said they were unrepairable. Quote
MikeLane Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 According to the brochure the Mk2 (Facelift) Exclusive was fitted with "Xenon dual function directional headlamps with washer jets".It was an option on the VTR. Quote
bob lawrence Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Yes, should have said, it's a 2058 new shape which I understand is the first year the new model came out. I would like information regarding removing the headlight to replace the motor please. The o/s headlight shines a lot lower than the n/s so not sure how this would affect mot. Thanks for taking trouble to reply. Quote
paul.h Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 If you have halogen headlights, this may be the part you need, I am not suggesting you use this supplier but it just has a good photo on the ad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-C5-08-ACTIONNEUR-MOTEUR-REGLAGE-DE-PHARE-93161736-8200402521-6224S7-/171691471564 . You still need to check the part no. against your VIN but it may be 6224S7. First I would check the electrical connector and its wiring. To r place this part the headlight does not need removing, it is accessed from behind/on top of the light with a bit of wiggling about to unclip it. Quote
