Hi guys,

My original Citroen C4 remote Key fob case has been worn out. It's very hard to get the button work now. Does anyone know if I buy the key fob case from ebay (3 BUTTON FLIP LIGHT REMOTE KEY FOB CASE FOR CITROEN C4 C5 C6 C8 Refurbishment UK) would it be possible for DIY to change the Shell. The key comes with the Fob shell case is making me confuse. Do I need to get it cut from the locksmith or I can just replace it from the original case. Another thing is if i buy one from ebay i cant see the citroen logo on the fob case. so wondering if my original fob case logo is transferable. Could anyone guide me plz.

In some cases the immobiliser chip can be separate to the circuit board and look like a tiny bit of rectangular plastic, so do not throw the old case away until you have removed all the old bits and are sure the new one works in the car. On our last case change, I removed the Citroen logo from the old case and glued it on the replacement. I have found the replacement cases are a better quality than the original Citroen ones and could last a lot longer.
