Hi All

There are two new thing in my life - a C5 that I've bought , it's mkII, petrol , year 2007 and the second is my membership in this forum (it's not that dramatic). anyhow, I'm looking for the vehicle's owner manual. of coarse I've googled but what i've found is what I guess for a higher level. my vehicle's model is RCRFJF , SX pack (was taken from the registration). so, if anyone knows where (and if) I can find a downloadable version that suit this model , please let me know.

Thanks.

Every Citroen Owners Manual is a "one size fits all". The manual will include details of every aspect of the entire range from the basic to exclusive models. Much of what is in the manual may not apply to your particular car. It's left to the owner to decide which sections apply to his/her vehicle. If you register on http://service.citroen.com you can enter your VIN, go to handbooks and download the manual for your particular vehicle.

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately I can not gain access to register to their site. I guess that it takes some procedure or maybe that they allow access

only from countries that their languages are listed on the homepage and Israel, where I reside, is not amongst them.

To see handbooks on the service.citroen site you do not need to register (just click on handbook pack) but if you do you have access to the Citroen parts diagrams and you can also pay for extras such as time to look at the workshop procedures. However, the one for the c5 model up to 2008 is not on the site, only for the 2008 on model. So you will need to try for a paper copy unless somebody has scanned theirs onto the web. A dealer may still be able to obtain one and they are often on ebay - probably why some people end up with a car without one. Sometimes the handbooks are placed in the drawers under the front seats so something to check. As well as the handbook there should be a Maintenance and Warranty guide with the car which will have the service stamps in it and dependnig on the radio installed, there may also be a book for the radio.

For now you can ask on here for info on your car but since there are 160 pages in the handbook you may not get anyone to offer to scan one for you.

To register on the service.citroen site you need to do it as another professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club since you can join as a member of a car club but not as an individual. http://service.citroen.com/pages/index.jsp

For help with maintenance you need the Haynes manual (or the Citroen service box dvds through such as ebay). If you need to jack the car up you must first raise the suspension to max height using the button near the gear lever and then switch the engine off and remove the key. Failing to do this can result in suspension problems. Also do not go under the car without having the body on axle stands since if a height sensor on the front or rear anti roll bars is caught the suspension can quickly drop to a very low level, quicker than you can get out of the way.

Paul H - a lot of thanks for your detailed and helpful reply. i"ll try to follow the advise. special thanks for the lifting and jacking advise. I wasn't aware of that. I'll try to find the Haynes manual, I have one to my Xantia and found it very helpful. is it possible? I've just entered Haynes's website and Citroen doesn't appear there at all! odd.
