Happy holidays!!

Pulled off the road today on to what we though was a lay by. Wrong!! It was the remains of some roadgang works and we hit a raised lump of hardened tarmac or concrete (whatever) and ripped off the nearside plastic body sill!!

Weve managed to get by with some button clips we had in our bits bag BUT does anyone have an idea how much a totally complete new one costs??

No idea of price but a call to a Citroen dealer for part number 7009 N8 would get you it.   If it's the right side it's part number 7010 X0.   It's held on with clips 9341 PF and they have them on ebay....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-PEUGEOT-CITROEN-DOOR-INTERIOR-TRIM-PANEL-FIXING-CLIPS-x-10-9341PF-/361564892644?hash=item542ef26de4:g:3LgAAOSwrnNXPyoW

Is your original moulding not saveable?   I pulled mine off my previous Mk2 but by using a bit of glue, abrasive paper and matt black spray I was able to refit it.

Hi

Dont know if its saveable. I found some wrecked plastic blocks on the floor etc and I've assumed theyre part of the innards.

The front top edge is split but doesn't look too bad. If i dont need the gubbins I can possibly get away with just new white nylon buttons. I hope so.

Thanks for the P No info. I'll check it from here (sunny Somerset) on Tuesday when dealers reopen.

The saloon and estate have the same Citroen part nos so it should fit, as John has said, nearside (left) is 7009N8 and offside (right) 7010X0 and the clips and plastic rivets that hold it on are 703024 and 9341PF. I do not know if the ebay price at £50 inc postage is cheap and you should check the new cost at a dealer. A search came up with this at £62 but it may be a pattern part http://www.carbodypanels4u.co.uk/citroen/c5/citroen-c5-estate-2008/sill-moulding

Thanks John, the clips were perfect!

Paul, the 703024s cost £6.26 each inc VAT. I needed 3 as 3 were OK after a bit of a clean up.

The sill WAS REPAIRABLE after some straightening and tidying up - thanks for suggesting I give it a Go.

Its quite "fun" (not!) getting everything to line up when re-fitting but not as difficult as I thought.

A wipeover afterwards with a rag loaded with WD40 and it looks great!!

Cheers
