hello there,

I have a slight prob. with electric supply to heater motor, when tested today it was showing about six volts, should be about 12v. can you please let me know if it could be a burnt connection , connector , or a relay, by the way where are the relays, so that i can checkout the relays

thanks for your reply, the wires (black, red) going into the blower motor along with 4 or 6 smaller wires are in this connector, my car is a 2.0l 16v vtr hdi 04 facelift model dual climate control

I also have been told that this motor has the resistor built in

have you tried replacing the blower yet or are you hoping to repair the existing one ?

The Haynes manual  shows the blower/resistor gets its 12 volt supply from the heating control panel which gets it from the engine fusebox which has the relays and fuses.

thanks for all your knowdledge,

I have looked for this resistor in all the usual places , behind glove box where motor is, to the left of the clutch, but can'T find resistor,

I will take a photo of motor and connection and post here, I have replaced the blower motor fuses all ok .I have been told that the resistor is built into motor or on top of blower housing  below dash

sorry about the info, in post no.3, in the connector going to motor there are 2 thick wires (red , BLACK ) AND 2 thin wires(green / orange  , purple /black , ) also on this motor there is a printer circuit board under the cover,  is this the resistor or is the resistor somewhere else,

thank you fo all your knowdledge , I would like to get this prob sorted as this is the best car i have ever driven or had,
