robbie_iow Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Hi all.. Been on this forums a while.. under a diff username.. but couldnt get account activated as it was during the time site was broken lol. Nice to finally be able to post lol.. Anyways.. as you can see by signature.. i have a C5 2.0 HDI.. I recently had issues with my heating that decided to say..." sorry no heating for you" right as winter was starting to set in... so had a good root around forums and tracked down several suggestions which led me to change the main 18 fuse in engine bay... resister pack by the clutch and the fan behind glove box... alas.. its still not working... So ive ordered myself a n dual control panel... and ive had another root around the forums today to try and finut how to remove the old lol, New panel wont be here till n week so no rush, but any pointers and input would be much appreciated... Happy New Year to all.. Robert H Quote
paul.h Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Welcome to the forum. It will pay to get a copy of the Haynes manual for your car, full price seems to be about £23, car accessory shops usually sell it for less and through ebay can be about £15 inc postage, for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Haynes-Manual-Citroen-C5-01-08-Car-Workshop-Repair-Book-4745-/360957692297?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368 According to the Haynes manual to remove the heater control panel- remove the radio (prise off the 2 plastic covers at each side by using a screwdriver in the lower edge to lever them off, then undo the screws holding the radio in place and then remove the radio)- push out the switches each side of the radio aperture- prise up the gear lever surround trim panel- undo the 2 torx bolts at the bottom of the centre panel which were hidden by the gear lever surround and then prise the centre panel from place- undo the 4 torx bolts holding the control panel, release the clip each side, push the panel forward, pull the lower part of the facia rearwards (towards you) a little and then move the control panel out. coastline taxis Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 weve come across this a few times and if you mean that the fan is not blowing then check the earth going to the resistor . weve seen them burnt out and corroded or just simply broken wires Quote
robbie_iow Posted January 13, 2017 Author Posted January 13, 2017 Ok so... its now had a new resister pack... new fan motor and now a new dual climate control panel and a new 40 fuse in engine bay fusebox.. and its still doing the same .... so its clear its an electrical issue.... any suggestions please.
