I am just wondering if i can do decarbonise my C4 1.6Hdi with water or any other product. I have seen some videos of decarbonising car engine with water in youtube and it seems that's is easy to do..but still if anyone can tell me how exactly to do it. that would be appreciated. Thank you.

The only times I have ever decoked engines have been when they have been in bits due to a cylinder head or head gasket problem and it was done using scrapers/files/emery paper/solvents/paraffin. I have never felt the need to do it when a car has been running well.

What I have seen in a quick look on the internet, using water spray seems to be on petrol engines and the water sprayed in to the carburettor inlet so not going through an intercooler/turbo. If you wanted to try it on your engine it would probably need spraying in at the inlet manifold at a pressure above the turbo pressure.

Still I couldn't figure out where shall i spray water to. I tried to take the big hose out and sprayed through the other hole which is on top of the turbo..but couldn't see any reaction and water didn't go inside as it appeared to me.

I would not spray any water anywhere near inside the turbo in case it causes damage to it from water hitting the blades. Also the water is likely to just collect in the intercooler and need draining out. If it builds up in the intercooler it could go into the engine as a slug of water instead of as a mist and damage the engine since the water will not compress and could break a piston or bend a con rod.

I didn't spray onto turbo Paul..it was through other hole where you can see bit of vapour coming out when the engine is hot and running..where the orange connector of the hose fits in. when I sprayed I couldn't feel that engine breathed in the water..so I am quering exactly where shall I spray water to?

you cant compress water and a diesel needs compression to ignite were a petrol dosnt, so the clearences are a lot finer. be very very carefull what your doing as you could bend a piston connector rod and require a engine strip down
