First time this has been reported on here. The hydraulic pipe part no. seems to be 5270VG but this should be checked using your VIN. I suspect it will only be available from a dealer since a search did not come up with any. It is supposed to take about an hour to replace so the bill could be around £200 at a dealer.

I took the car to Evans Halshaw  as my local independent wasn't interested, they quoted £545 to rectify the leak on cylinder supply pipe, that includes parts to the value of £280 I have to say I was a bit shocked. The strange thing is they diagnosed the cause without dismantling anything, because they don't have the  parts the job can't be done till Tuesday so they said I could collect the car and bring it back Tuesday. Stranger still they texted me a link so I could watch a video of their "technician" visually identifying the leak.

What would you expect £545 to buy you?

I do not know where they get their labour estimate from, the 1 hour I suggested is from the Citroen service box procedures. They must be estimating about 3 hours at Â£265. They must be replacing more than just the pipe and LDS fluid top up at £280. Why not wait as the car is repaired to see how long it takes.

The videos seem to be normal now for Citroen dealers when they check a car so you can see the things they find.

I managed to retreive the car and have now got a new quote from SB citroen, they only want £173 for the pipe and one hour labour, The breakdown of the prices on the first quote would make your eyes water!!!!!!!!
