hay4moo Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Hi guysI'm planning to change the oil on my 1.1L 2003. Is it advisable to renew the sump plug and washer, or just the washer? Euro Car Parts show various sizes of washer for the car, but I have no idea which one to buy? Thanks and any advice will much appreciated. Quote
paul.h Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Welcome to the forum. You should change the washer but not the plug unless it is damaged. A Citroen dealer will sell you the correct washer for less than a pound, much less than anywhere else and their oil filters are competitively priced so no need to go anywhere else. Plus you know the parts are the right ones and will fit. Quote

Paul.h & Routemaster, thank you for your advice. I'll do as you suggest and go to my local dealer for the washer and filter. I hadn't heard about the pattern issue and certainly don't want to risk oil pressure problems. Thanks again. Quote
