Guest SPIKE Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Hi, ive just fitted some new front pads to my dads c5, now he has a lot of travel on the pedel and the brakes pump up, how do i bleed the brakes and what fliud do i use to top back up with??? all help greatfully exceptedcheers guys Quote

paul.h Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 2 things also to consider, the pads will need about 200 miles to bed in and (not sure about this) after winding in the piston to give room for the new pads, either using the foot brake or the handbrake may take time/a number of applications to wind the pistons back out.
