kfk Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Not in the glove box but under it, you will find it easier if you open the pasenger door and kneel! Quote
Mike5483 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 thanks for your help mate! Exactly where the hand book tells you it is!!! Whats up with the way it drives??? Its not as accomplished as a focus, but its not bad. Quote
BigJohnD Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Its not as accomplished as a focus, but its not bad.We have a 53 F*c*s Zetec as well as 55 Hdi C4. And it's the F*c*s that always gets left on the drive when there's a choice. The F*c*s is good, but the C4 is better. The C4 is roomier, has bigger seats, is more relaxing, has better A/C, uses less fuel, has better braking, a bigger boot, is more stylish and much easier when it comes to lowering the rear seats. What really lets the C4 down is the incomplete conversion to RHD/UK Spec - the absence of the keyhole on the driver's door, scraping your knuckles on the passenger seat when using the handbrake, the trip computer really being metric not imperial, and the wipers and most of minor controls still set up for LHD - like the bonnet release. I agree, the C4 is a fantyastically comfortable car. I should know, I have driven to spain in mine. I just meant that as a drivers car, the Focus is better. In every other respect (maybe bar build quality) I prefer the C4 and if you throw styling into the pot, then there isnt a hatchback that will touch the C4. I think the C4 is a very good all-rounder, but probably every hatch out there is better in some respect, Focus handling, Golf build quality etc etc. No hatch beats it for comfort though. Quote
Goon Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I agree that there are better cars but none of them make you look twice at them. The old Focus was a challenging design in its day but the new one is bland, the Golf lacks soul as do the offerings from Fiat and Peugeot. None of them have the great vision afford by the large expanses of glass nor do they have the little ' I wish I'd thought of that' touches that make the C4 so special. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the C4 is the best and most accomplished car that Citroen have made in the last two decades and it should have won COTY but having said that, that award is often the kiss of death for a lot of cars so probably best it didn't win. :P Quote
BigJohnD Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I bought it for comfort not being interested in a driver's car (what ever that is) having had to put up with the hard ride of the F*c*s for years. And have you changed the nearside headlight bulb of a F*c*s?How Many Ford Mechanics Does It Take To Change a Focus Headlight? Kaiotty1 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Hi guy just got a c4 second hand and it keeps saying the bonnet is open when it's not it's lock down any advice please Quote
paul.h Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Welcome to the forum. For it to give this message there must be a switch somewhere under the bonnet that the bonnet or its latch pushes on to say if the bonnet is open. You will need to have a look for it and maybe its connector needs a clean or the switch plunger is not working - you could try pushing on it when you find it and see if the message goes. Quote
