legin Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 The washers on my 52 plate C5 now just dribble instead of spray! I've checked the pipes and water flows freely.I had a look at the washers with the bonnet open and it looks like one clip holds the nozzle in place.I just want to remove the nozzles to give them a good clean out.Thanks. Mine do this regularly. I'm too lazy to dismantle them, just blast them out with the air line at work. The filler cap for the reservoir is missing so I imagine a thorough clean out is on the cards. They are really flakey though, the rear wash control activates the front one, disconcerting when I want to clear the rear screen and the front is OK. Vision obliterated until I can react and give the wiper control a nudge. Sometimes it is the opposite way round though. Electronics are wonderful when they have a mind of their own! Quote
legin Posted December 16, 2007 Author Posted December 16, 2007 O.K. thanks for that I'll give it a go. Quote
paul.h Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Poke a pin or sewing needle in the washer jet hole - quicker and easier than dismantling. Quote
DaveHerns Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 People say that just pushes the blockage back into the pipe ready to block it again .You really need to disconnect the pipe and blow through the nozzle Quote
legin Posted December 28, 2007 Author Posted December 28, 2007 I blew some air through the jets from outside with the pipe then had a good poke with a pin.Suprised at the amount of gunk that came out.I had to keep spraying water out to finally clear the jets, thanks. Quote
myglaren Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I bet your washer bottle is full of crap.. I imagine mine is too. Quote
