Seanb,This sounds like a sticking relay on the supply to the fog lights - try tapping it but it is likely to need replacing. The switch must be working since it lets the fog lights go on when used but does not appear to put them on when the normal headlights are switched on (assumed this from your note). Switching off the headlights also turns off the fog lights since they are not meant to work unless the headlights are also on. Quote

Guest bus driver lee Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 madness just tryed it again working fine?????????????? Quote
paul.h Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Maybe there was a mobile phone mast or something blocking the key fob signal. Happened to me once in a car park I had often used but I could not see any masts. The other doors can be locked manually - if you open a door, there is a small sticker covering a hole in which the key can be used to lock that door when it is then shut. It was mentioned on this forum and may be in the car handbook. Quote

Guest Amylou Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 Hello, having a problem with my C3 rear washer jet, it's not directed at the rear windscreen so the washer fluid is just giving the car behind a good clean instead. The jet needs adjusting but I'm not sure how to do it. Grateful for any ideas. Quote

Guest rjvr3 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I have a 2007 C2 VTR 1.4i. Recently i started to hear a noise in my car like when a plastic can or bottle is retracting after being sucked in. U know, sort of a thumping sound. The 2nd day (my tank was quite empty) of hearing this noise it suddenly sounded like a plastic bottle being sucked in to itself, weird, and then the engine just cut out. Upon investigation i found that the petrol tank HAS been sucked in! after taking off the outlet pipe (from tank to engine) at the tank/fuel pump, it sucked a lot of air in and retracted. But since then my car just wont start, even after adding 12 litres of petrol. Everything seems o k though. Any help? Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The jet needs adjusting but I'm not sure how to do it. I don't have a C3 but I guess your washers are like most others. Use a fairly fine needle and put it in the washer jet hole. Move the needle so that it points at the windscreen. Withdraw the needle and try the jet. Quote
Muggle Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 My wife's C3 (1.4 petrol) is having problems with the heater (or the display?). When she has driven anything from 5 to 50 miles, the temp indication goes up to the top (normally 3 sections lit). She puts the heater on full for a while and the indicator drops suddenly to 3 sections again. Any ideas? Quote
paul.h Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 This is from the common problems topic. Have a look at all the linked topics within it. There might just be an electrical glitch, the temperature sensor might need replacing, you still need to check everything as though there is an overheating fault though. Does the engine fan come on ? 30. High temperature warnings. This topic by Skyman fixed the problem using a dealer supplied temp sensor after trying a low cost ebay one which did not work http://www.citroen-o...-by-new-sensor/ This occurred on our 2010 C3 1.4 VTI 96 bhp. A check on live data showed the engine coolant temperature was normal yet the high temperature warning was lit and the engine fan was running continually. A visit to the Citroen dealer for a new temperature sensor however brought up that Citroen had just issued a recall for faulty temperature sensors on the EP engines so it would be fixed without cost to ourselves. This is done by replacing the temperature sensor with a new one or as in our case where the temperature sensor is not removeable from the thermostat housing, the housing bleed screw is removed and the temperature sensor is put in its place along with a short wiring loom.
