michaelcarts Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 The only Haynes manual I can find for Citroen Xsara (not Picasso) covers models from 1997 to 2000. I've checked the Haynes catalog, and can't find anything for the 2002 model. Was there a big change in 2000, or would the 1997-2000 manual be ok ?Is there a source other than Haynes ? Quote
techbod Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I would think the picasso would be similar if not the same its only the shape that's different http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/...erm=%22xsara%22 Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I've looked after my daughter's 02 Xsara from new and I find the Haynes R to W manual (3751) adequate. Quote

wolfiecullen Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Hi all. I have a 2001 model (facelift) Xsara 1.6i 16v. I emailed Haynes about the workshop manual for the newer model Xsara, and asked whether the book for the older model (up to 2000 / W reg) would be ok, and whether they were going to do a book for the newer model. The reply from Haynes was that they do not do, and do not plan to do, a book for the newer model. Very helpful of them!! Not!! Quote
techbod Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 the car has to be on the market for more than 2 years before it becomes eligible and worth Haynes to print a book and due to citroen making too many different cars in such a short time but one constellation is the shape changes and not the basics so the older book should be ok to use Quote

Now I'll go and get the Haynes book, I just didn't want to spend £18 on a book that would be of no use. ;) Quote
