coastline taxis Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 car comes to us quite regular with the same fault. it will just stop and no matter what you do it wont start there is no fault codes and lights on the dash leave it overnight and it will start first time and runnfor anywhere between 1 and 3 months. had it into dealers for diagnostic and nothing found Quote
Randombloke Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Crank position sensor. Fuse with a hairline crack. Key barrel/Ignition lock Iffy relay. Damaged wire or dry joint on multiway connector. It's an HPi and is worth more for trim and various bits if broken than running. Sorry................... Quote
techbod Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 very difficult to analyse this sort of problem but random bloke is in my opinion on the button ( apart from striping for spares lol ) most times this sort of problem is down to crank/cam sensor as it cuts the power to the fuel pump and the hairline crack is a very good place to start because when this heats up it expands and would loose contact till it cools then bingo it starts again and rarely leaves a fault code Quote
