Citroen C3 1.4 Petrol.

Advised during MOT that front pads getting low. Recently orange brake warning light coming on now and again. Replaced pads (myself), with non-citroen pads. Now orange brake warning light on permenantly. Did not see any sign of low pad warning sensor.Brakes working OK. How can I get warning light off?

The reservoir has been topped up, but light still comes on. Does not come on straight away, just as you begin to drive off. I also get 3 short bleeps. Could this be some form of ABS warning signal. Being an amber light I assume it is a 'warning'. Would it be red if dangerous?

Do the pads actuallly have a 'low pad' warning signal? I am wondering if the light coming on intermitantly before pads were changed was nothing to do with low pad level.

Can anybody well me what the handbook says for the Amber warning light with pic of car 'skidding' within it.

Many Thanks

That will be the ABS system registering a fault........you need to get the fault codes read to identify the area of the abs system thats causing the problem, from there you should be able to work out how much to fix.......could be anything from a sensor, to a wheel bearing, to a broken wire to a new computer (unlikely but possible).
