Guest GLENN S Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I've a 2003 Picasso and it is suffering from a significant shake, or shudder at around 38mph to 45-48 mph.Local garage took a look and could not fnd anything and told me to come back when it is worse!Does this ring a bell with anyone else?I need to resolve as I am looking to sell the car and would not want to do so with this problem.I live in Walthamstow, so if anyone can recommend a reliable garage/chap to sort this out - I'd really appreciate that. (10 months ago, cambelt went and engine was stripped to repair) Any thoughts most welcome. ThanksGlenn Quote
Johndouglas Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 With little to go on things that spring to mind are:Bottom engine mount sloppy.Damaged front tyre.Tracking needs adjustment. Quote
Guest GLENN S Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 It is 2.0L HDI75K on the clock.Tyres are goodNot tracking. It disappears when clutch is depressed - so engine mount brackets would correlate?Could it be drive shaft?Anyone know any good mechanics I cold get this to - North East London/Essex? paul.h Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 If not already done, I would also post this/search on the separate Picasso forum. You can get to it via the home page link on the tool bar - Citroen owners club. Quote
Guest GLENN S Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Picasso Link is not allowing me to validate membership or even when I try a new sign up, hence me posting here - sorry! Quote
paul.h Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I had forgotten about the membership, they are 2 separate sites each requiring registration but you should still be able to do a search. I have just had a quick look and there are all sorts of possibilities listed such as wheel out of balance/damaged - if they are alloys they may not have a normal size hole in the middle so need a special adaptor to be balanced, loose undertray, loose engine cover (the rubber fixings break - they did when we had a Picasso), loose exhaust heat shield, crankshaft pulley, engine mount, suspension problem. You may be better going to a Citroen dealer or specialist to have it looked at. Quote
