coastline taxis Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Dont use the carwash problem solved No its obvious that you have water ingress somewhereHow long have you owned the carhas it been in a accident and had a bad repairhas the dealer checked all the seals I would start by removing the panel under the wipers and checking also the windscreen seal Quote
paul.h Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 If it is like the mark 1 C5 they are prone to rain going in to the driver's footwell and there are posts on this. Maybe on its way down the bulkhead it passes and wets the electrics. Quote

This morning I was going to try to use the car again, however early this morningI have recieved a call from the dealer that either the rain yesterday or putting thepanels back has caused the problem to reoccur overnight, just a thought but have you heard of replacement Computer units being faulty? coastline taxis Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Just a daft one but have they checked the comm unit as a faulty com unit will put the lights on and cause trouble with other electrical system. What panels have they had off also what is the lexia saying Quote

paul.h Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I am pleased you have got it sorted. The towbar electric boxes on our car I stuck part way up the spare wheel well using a silicon sealant as a glue (it was lying about in the garage) and held them in place with squashed newspaper whilst it set. This was so they were out of the way but the electrics would not get immersed in water if there were a leak. Quote
