coastline taxis Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I take it you have the switch on the dash to lock the doors if so and its not working then check your fuses also check to see where the power for your meter is picked up as ive seen them connected to any live available Quote
ataxidriver64 Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 cheers for that Coastliner the button works to lock the doors but not to set it to auto lock, but all immeterial now as I have blown the turbo on it, and if i cant find a reasonably priced replacement turbo it will be getting scrapped. Guest Wac Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I would also like to know if auto locking can work on my 53 plate mk2, I have the lock button on the dash? Quote
paul.h Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 53 plate mk2 - the mark 2 did not come out until mid 2004 so a typing error or you have a mark 1 or a 54 plate or registration has been changed. To activate the auto locking, with the engine on, press and hold the dash door lock button and after a few seconds it will beep and a message will come up. Quote

Guest birksy Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I've got a series one 1.8 VTR , curiously when I'm driving it has autolocked on me complete with red light under padlock. No idea how it works, just assumed it was a glitch. Quote
