Auto Locking Doors

Hi my C5 is a 2001 model with out this feature, I would like to know if any one knows if its possible to retrofit this feature, I have tried the lock button in the car and it doesnt activate it.

I take it you have the switch on the dash to lock the doors if so and its not working then check your fuses also check to see where the power for your meter is picked up as ive seen them connected to any live available

cheers for that Coastliner the button works to lock the doors but not to set it to auto lock, but all immeterial now as I have blown the turbo on it, and if i cant find a reasonably priced replacement turbo it will be getting scrapped.

Go to the scrappys £50 tops a 406 one will fit if you cant get a c5 one

I would of thought so. Theres a firm down hartlepool that recons them for around the £200ish mark if its any good to you

I would also like to know if auto locking can work on my 53 plate mk2, I have the lock button on the dash?

53 plate mk2 - the mark 2 did not come out until mid 2004 so a typing error or you have a mark 1 or a 54 plate or registration has been changed.

 

To activate the auto locking, with the engine on, press and hold the dash door lock button and after a few seconds it will beep and a message will come up.

I've got a series one 1.8 VTR , curiously when I'm driving it has autolocked on me complete with red light under padlock. No idea how it works, just assumed it was a glitch.
