Hi

I have recently changed my C4 coupe for a 2009 Series 3 C5. Its a 2.0 HDi VTR+Nav with the 140Bhp engine. Only 10k on the clock and its quite a step up from the C4 which I also liked very much.

According to the C5 handbook, as in the C4, I had there is a worning light for the preheating of the engine which should be breifly visible before starting on a cold morning. However I have looked for this light but as yet have not found it and the handbook tells you about but doesent say where it is. Can anyone give me a clue where to look please.

Regards

Phil

Is it on the left hand dial face, just to the left of the 12 o'clock position and seat belt light ? If it is like the mark 1 C5 though it will only flash on for a split second if at all.

As Paul has already said the preheater light may not come on at all.AFAIK the HDi engine does not switch over to preheating mode unless the temperature is

minus 5 degrees.

Mine is to the left of the speedometer and below the fuel gauge. It lights briefly as the engine is turned over but blink and you'll miss it.

Thanks to all. It is where Paul said on the clock to the left of the speedonmeter but if you blink you've missed it.
