Audio And Telematics Systems - Handbook Supplement
paul.h replied to stevieg1948's topic in C3 - Technical
Welcome to the forum. Is this the latest model of C3 or the 2009 to 2016 C3 ? If the earlier one then the handbook has the audio parts in the back of it. If the new model then you will need to get the supplement from a dealer. -
Welcome to the forum. You should change the washer but not the plug unless it is damaged. A Citroen dealer will sell you the correct washer for less than a pound, much less than anywhere else and their oil filters are competitively priced so no need to go anywhere else. Plus you know the parts are the right ones and will fit.

What year is your car but I am guessing it is a pre 2009 model since you have mentioned the Haynes manual and there is not one for the 2009 on model. Possibly you are the first to fit folding mirrors on this forum so we may all learn something from your experience. We had a 2003 C3 and now a 2010 and neither have folding mirrors and but I never thought about fitting them.

This is copied from your post in your similar topic on the C3 section which I have deleted so all replies are in one place: Hi all, I have a c3 1.6 16v vtr. I have just changed my mirrors to heated and fold in. Checked the mirrors work off the car , all ok. Changed the mirror switch to the one with the bottom position for gold in. I have programmed the fold in option in lexia but still not folding????. The heated bit work, and the adjuster but works, but will not fold in manually or with remote. Can anyone help with this ? And has anyone else retro fitted these. Think there must be a fuse missing, or relays not fitted, as all of the wiring seems the same as my wife's car which is an exclusive with folding mirrors. Thanks in advance for any help you have Keith

If it is a Citroen dealer you could ask if they would replace the timing belt at a discount if it is done before you collect the car. Timing belt replacement is usually a fixed price item and there may be the price on your dealer website, our local one charges about £325 for the belt/tensioner plus about £100 to include the water pump.

Welcome to the forum. What year is the car ? On the switch, the slide one that selects the mirror for any adjustments needs to be set in the middle position and if doing manually rather than just using the remote to lock the doors, it needs to be pulled back for the foldback to work. If you have done all this then maybe you will need to check for voltage at various points to trace where the problem occurs.

There is a Haynes workshop manual for the C4. It says the instrument panel uses leds for the lights so there are no bulbs to replace. To remove the instrument panel on top of the dash - it says to insert 2 thin screwdrivers into the rear of the panel near the ends to release the 2 outer retaining clips. Then carefully lever the front of the panel nearest the windscreen upwards to release the 3 clips along the front edge. Then pull the panel upwards, release the locking clip on the electrical connector to remove it.

From one of your other topics I guess your car is a C4.

Welcome to the forum. Which model is the car ?

If the part is less than a year old you can take it back to Citroen.

Replacement Heater Control Panel Not Functioning On All Controls
paul.h replied to pinheadplanet's topic in C5 - Technical
Did you get the correct part since there is a part no. change at RPO 12019 - up to this 6452H7 or 8 depending on colour and after this 6452R9 or 6452S0 depending on colour for the 2008 on C5 (X7). The Citroen service box procedures make no mention of any coding. -
Welcome to the forum. The plastic bits breaking off the ends is quite common. I think initially Citroen would remove the engine sump to recover the end bit but later decided they would not likely cause any damage so stopped. You could ask a Citroen dealer for advice since they will have come across this often. You could try poking some wire down the tube to see if it hits the plastic bit and measure how far it has gone in against the remainder of the dip stick. You can remove the tube, it is held by 1 or 2 bolts to see if you can see the plastic bit and maybe push the bit in to the sump if you can not extract it.

Possibly the battery just needed a good charge which you managed by running the car. Maybe you could check the voltages again to see if they are higher and to give you a reference if the stop/start does not work again.

Welcome to the forum. If your car has a urea (adblue) tank then it must be fairly new and if less than 3 years old will still have a Citroen warranty. If so if it needs a new tank then the dealer should fix the car free of charge. If it only needs a top up then your car handbook should say how to do this and you may find there is a filler cap in the boot. Lots of places sell adblue for about £1 a litre in larger containers, such as Halfords, car accessory shops, probably petrol stations, car dealers. I do not have any up to date manuals for cars with adblue so do not know what work is involved in removing the adblue tank.

You could also check if the turbo is the right one and that the variable vanes move.

You would think if it is stopping due to low fuel pressure there would be a fault code. A search on Citroen low fuel pressure fault code came up with this http://www.bba-reman.com/forums/topic84997-1-1.aspx which seems similar to your problem and turned out to be an injector fault.

Want To Move Front Tyres With Pressure Monitors To Rear Axle
paul.h replied to PGrehan's topic in C5 - Technical
When having new tyres it is normal to have new valves. I am not sure about tyre pressure monitor valves but you may need to have a service kit. -
Does the washer work on the rear ? The same pump is used for front and rear but runs in opposite directions.
-
The covers are the parts on the front, not the black surround. Make sure you pull the white top one forward since if it is similar to our C4, it is held by lugs which can break off if not careful - my experience when the cover was knocked and a new cover was needed, about £50 painted.

You need to use a code reader to find out what is wrong since it could be anything that can affect the running of the engine and the emissions. The lack of power will be because the car has been put in limp mode due to the fault. Without reading the code you could have a look for anything obvious such as a loose electrical connector or pipe. Do not start replacing parts hoping to guess the right one since this can prove expensive. A code reader costs less than a diagnostic and one that gives some live data is more useful. As an example http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT200.html . However since your car is a diesel pre 2004, not all code readers will work on it so you need to check this before buying one.

Welcome to the forum. The Dispatch 1.6 hdi has a few different part numbers for the turbo but I do not know what is different about them. You could use your VIN in the parts diagrams to see which one is right and then source a used one against the Citroen part number. Other option will be to see if there are any manufacturers numbers on your existing one and search against that. To see the parts diagrams register on service.citroen as an other professional non emergency services and then as a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Once on the site use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your vehicle. The turbo can be found under Mechanical / Engine / Turbocharging. http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres you might need to select your language first.

Welcome to the forum. If you look on the door pillar sticker that gives the tyre pressures, you will see the paint colour code which should be used to get the correct colour. It is usually 3 or 4 letters.
-
Welcome to the forum. You need to unclip the mirror top cover (slide it forward), then the lower cover to get to the sensor. The old should be cut off from the wiring and the new one joined to the wiring. It might be possible to do this without removing the mirror from the door but I am not sure.

Welcome to the forum. You would think Citroen would know about steel and alloy causing corrosion. On the earlier model C5 and other cars the rear brake calipers are alloy and they corrode where they are fastened to the steel suspension arm so every year or so they need removing and greasing to minimise it.

The fan should start at 97°C. The high temp warning should be 118°C.
