What exactly do you mean? The facetious answer is that there's a locking wheel nut on each wheel. Are you looking for the socket, which is usually in the tray under the passenger seat or with the spare in the well in the boot?

Your friend should visit the dealer who supplied the car, and make a warranty claim. My immediate response/uninformed guess is something wrong with the steering wheel controls.

It's all very dealer specific. I had my recall done during the 60Km service (all checked out fine), during which the A/C control unit was replaced under warranty and the USB/iPod Box enabled without charge. Using that as the sole consideration, I'd never go any where else. Citroën UK have a big part to play, ensuring high levels of service and quality in ALL their dealers.

Ipod Now Fitted And Working With Rd4

Looks like it's specific to the VDO/RD3 head unit. -
Agreed, Flea-bay. I've just got two boxes (4 refills) for £8.

Turbo charging a modern car is a very big job if there's no kit out there for it. You'll need new manifolds, piping, turbo, intercooler, injectors and modified fuel pump/system and that's before opening up the motor to optimise the porting and valve gear. You'll probably need new pistons too. Then there's the re-mapping. And all from scratch. If you seriously increase the performance, then you'll need to consider the braking and the suspension sytems too. It's easier and cheaper to buy a car with a turbo engine.

Yes, the scuttle below the windscreen does come away, possibly through some flexing. I'm not sure how it can be resealed. However, I've not noticed any (diesel in my case) fumes. I find the fumes more worrying than a loose bit of plastic trim, and it should be investigated.

In word, yes. (HID = High Intensity Discharge, commonly known as Xenon, headlights.) From the Dept for Transport, December 2006 http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps Also, watch this video from Autoexpress: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/videos/featur...xenon_test.html Edmund King - RAC Foundation Executive Director: So while you can easily fit an after market kit, you're not getting the best from them by fitting them in reflectors designed for halogen and you could easily dazzle on-coming drivers; they need to be self-cleaning and self levelling. There is no guarantee they will satisfy the MOT examiner and they could run foul of type approval regs.

The short answer is a software upgrade/re-install. The fault is not unknown. The countdown to the Service Spanner appearing is a combination of distance travelled and date. If Citroën Glasgow can't fix it, try another dealer. Allied Vehicles? Citroën Dealer Locator

And that's with the whole headlight assembly out of the car!

They're metric measurements. When checking your tyre pressure, just use the "Bar" scale, not the "psi". Saves a lot of trouble.

Ipod Now Fitted And Working With Rd4
BigJohnD replied to BigJohnD's topic in I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion
The USB Box works with the RD4 and similar radios which I assume is fitted in a C3. The glove compartment on a RHD C4 is miniscule and fiddly to work in because of the location of the fuse box. This is not an issue on (original) LHD cars. I hope to fully fit the box to the roof of the compartment over Easter. I'm not sufficiently familiar with the C3. I can post up pictures from the installation guide of the recommended location in a C3, but they're for LHD. I'm assuming you're RHD. -
Citroën have recently brought out the "USB Box 9702.EZ", which fits into the CD changer socket of the standard RD4/RT3 radio found in C2s, C3s, C4s and C4 Picassos. The USB Box has a dedicated connection to an Apple iPod and a USB port for, for example, a flash drive containing MP3 files, as well as simple stereo jack input. Note that it uses the CD Changer port, so if a CD Changer is already fitted, you will need to choose between them. Only one device can be fitted to the port. Up until then, the options were either an FM transmitter (iTrip) or the Auxiliary input lead - 9706AG. Both had short comings. The iTrip had transmission weaknesses and the Aux input required a more powerful signal than the iPod headset out could generate. Neither would power the iPod nor could the iPod be controlled from the radio/steering wheels controls. I have heard that dealers will supply and fit it for outrageous sums like £230 + VAT. I paid £101 plus delivery and VAT for the kit. I installed the box myself (45 mins) in my C4 Berline VTR+ and had "CD Changer present" enabled free by my dealer (Windsors of Wallasey) during the 60K KM service. Thank you Windsors! Note truncation to 8 characters (which do scroll sideways) http://bigjohnd.250free.com/CitC4/Hendrix.jpg Current track, again truncation to 8 characters (which do scroll sideways) http://bigjohnd.250free.com/CitC4/DocumentList.jpg The PTY (Programme Type) "Document" is used to identify the menu system of playlists and tracks by holding down the "TA/PTY" button on the radio and selecting "Document". It took several minutes to fully engage. Pressing pre-set 1 on the radio displays the iPod menus and playlists. The upper right scroll wheel moves the cursor up and down. >> on the upper right quadrant selects the menu item. (The joystick buttons ˆ , ˇ , <<, >> allow on the radio do the same). Pre-set 2 displays the name of artist of the current track; << returns the display back to the current Mode. Pre-set 4 displays the name of the current track; << returns the display back to the current Mode. The iPod's own menu is completely disabled, and displays a warning about it not being safe to use the iPod controls while driving. The display only shows 8 characters of any menu item, though they do automatically scroll horizontally. If you have several, for example, albums starting "The Best of …", it's a nuisance that there is a seemingly lengthy delay while waiting for the complete title to scroll across to identify it. The trick when creating your playlists is to name them so they appear at the top of the list and have 8 or less characters. There also is a limit of 99 items in a list, and that includes "Shuffle" of all your tracks, likely to be hundreds if not thousands, The sound quality is very good, better than I expected I haven't tried the USB connection as I don't have any MP3 tracks, so I can't comment on it. I hope this is helpful for owners thinking about installing the USB Box.

Syrup described it OK. Here's a diagram. Click here. A thrust bearing looks like this: Click here Thrust bearings do fail, and usually make noises out of all proportion to any damage that may happen, as all that's happened is that a couple of ball bearings have worn away and/or the grease has leaked away. They'll have to separate the gear box from the engine to access the clutch, whatever they do. So fitting a whole new assembly makes sense. The parts are around £125 + VAT.

You can play MP3s but they do need to be burned in a ceratin way. There's details on the C4Owners website. As regards playing an iPod/Walkman/solid state MP3 player, there are two options. 1. USB Box gives Apple iPod integration, so you can control your iPod remotely from the steering wheel or the radio controls. It costs about £140 retail + fitting + activation (discounts available). Sound is good. It also charges the iPod. 2. The Auxillary Input is sound only, costing around £20 + installation and activation. This is sound only via a simple jack or phono, and requires a healthy, preferably from a pre-amp, input signal. The headset output from an iPod is weak, and you will need turn the RD4 up to full volume to hear it. Again more details on the C4Owners website. http://www.c4owners.org/

Likewise, but a diesel VTR+. The biggest gripe is the poor conversion to RHD, (handbrake, wipers, no keyhole on driver's door, poor glove box, &c. &c.) but otherwise a terrific car. It's stylish, comfortable, economical and, despite the myths perpetuated by journalists and people who've never owned one, reliable.

What Wozza said. I have a full size alloy in the well, not the space saver, and it all fits in neatly, strapped down and doesn't rattle. Re: steering. Yes, get it checked on a 4 wheel alignment system. It may the rear that's out of alignment if that's where you were shunted.

Works fine. Must be a temporary glytch.

Excellent news! My car is going in for the ABS Recall on Wednesday.

Clearly you're not a sad old man like me, who always has a camera in his pocket and likes to get 700 miles from every tankful.
-
If your car is a 55 plate, the two year warranty must be at or near its end.

It's a fairly common complaint. It's possibly because on the UK/RHD version the glove box is very small because of the location of fuse box &c. and it's easy to over fill it and then try to force the door to shut, straining the hinges. As your car is very new, you may be lucky with a warranty claim. If it's clearly had considerable usage, a claim will be unsuccessful and a new door is something outrageous like £87 pus VAT and fitting I was lucky when it happened to me, when my son slammed it shut when it was full of phone charger cables, small books, CDs and other junk. I'd heard about the problem, and rather than force it open, I eased out the hinges and the door popped open. Now I hardly ever put anything in it, and if I do, I certainly check to make sure the door will close without fouling.
