  1. Were these Citroen dealers/specialists?
  2. Yep - no Eolys on Mark 1 2.0 HDi. Cambelt is indeed 100k, but may be better getting it done a bit earlier. Should not be a concern at that mileage. RF stalk switches? Not heard of that but......COM 2000 unit can be the cause of malfunctioning stalk switched items. My 52 plate 2.0HDi has 67k on it now. Only issue with it is the tailgate window will not open. Not a difficult fix but I don't need it that badly that I can be bothered to mend it. Electric locks and windows can be iffy, but won't necessarily be. Air con could be expensive of course. Check all the electrics work. Suspension tends to be pretty reliable with the later type spheres as fitted on the C5.
  3. There was a post answered by iannez somewhere about heater flap motor gears shearing (I think that was the gist). Some sort of modification kit required.
  4. With more weight in the car, the suspension compresses more, not the tyres, so your tyre pressures remain the same.
  5. Adjust ecomode setting? No can do. I don't think you have a problem. When you switch off the ignition and leave the radio on, it goes into Economy Mode. This means that the radio will automatically switch off after one hour to stop battery drain. That is all. I think it is operating correctly.
  6. Have you tried switching the radio on after turning off the ignition? But I think it's right isn't it? Ignition off, Economy on? Sure mine does the same.
  7. BSI - Built-in Systems Interface. Possibly the BSI is responsible for Ecomode selection, hence Ian's suggestion.
  8. It's here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=150095953341 Has lots of useful info. Maybe it is known as a mechanics handbook.
  9. I have a Techincal Information book covering C5 and C8, which is a Citroen publication. It gives servicing info for the vehicles. I bought it on Ebay - no idea if you could buy one from Citroen.
  10. Wow I thought mine was bad........I get 41ish to the gallon, driving conservatively. I have noticed that mine really hates my hilly 30 mile commute - it really brings the economy down. If I get a long flat drive it improves a lot.
  11. Would imagine that your lights issue is the hydraulic pump cutting in. C'est normal.
  12. At one time Zafira was the most unreliable car on the road. Tis the luck of the draw.
  13. On the C5 this is set using the button on the end of the rh stalk and scrolling through the multifunction display. When you come to a message saying OVERSPEED a long push on the button will switch it off (I think!). If the overspeed is set you get a door open type ping and a message flashes up SPEED TOO HIGH.
  14. Thanks for the feedback. Why didn't I think of that? Works nicely.
  15. I've PMed you back. Please let me know if you got it.
  16. I've got an account on citroen-pr.net....online parts thing. If you give me your VIN I can check part numbers for you. From the diagrams there is only one Traffic Info box but depending on what systems you have there may be another ECU. Also the Multifunction Display is configured for this so I guess could need to be re-configured if the TM is replaced. When I look at the parts list that the system throws up it quotes the same number for the reference number for all 3 original installations. 6563JY which retails at £306 inc vat, although the part numbers are : 6563 P0 - until RPO 08691 6563 P1 - since RPO 08692, since RPO 09002 6563 A0 - since RPO 09002 with RT2 radiotelephone Need your VIN to be sure.
  17. Thanks for the feedback. Got one flip key in working order. Also have the non-flip (garage?) key which looks like it has a chip in it so must work the ignition. I had read somewhere that if the battery fails in the flip key then you cannot open the deadlocked doors with the garage key. Urban myth?
  18. Is this something that can be done yourself or is it a dealer task?
  19. tsk.....kids........
  20. When I lived in that neck of the woods I lived in Shaw and worked in Trafford Park. Try that on public transport! Where I am now it takes me 30 minutes to drive 30 miles, mostly on the A1, to get to and from work. I start at 7.30, morning or evening, depending on shifts. There is no bus to the train station so I'd have a mile walk to start with (no point driving to the station as there is not enough parking). Then a train journey followed by a bus and another nice long walk. Going home is the same. Working a 12 hour shift the last thing I want is 2 long walks and hanging around for trains and buses - I may as well stay at work!!!! Sundays are even better, when the homeward train doesn't stop at the local station - I have to stay on it for another 20 minutes, get off and wait an hour to get another train back the opposite way!!!!
  21. Public transport? What public transport?
  22. I can't tell if mine works or not. Sometimes I find I have to turn the volume up a bit when on the motorway, but Icouldn't say for sure that it doesn't auto adjust at all. If it's any consolation (probably not) my last car (Fraud) was the same.
  23. Good thinking that man!
  24. Sounds like the stalk switch as you say. Do the wipers etc work ok? Hopefully this doesn't go throught the Com module.
