Makes me thankful i got the VTR+ at tims looking at different specs just some of the things missing that would cost pennies for them to install but they didnt such as the menu mode esc buttons etc we have all that on the steering wheel it could only cost a few pence to chuck the bits of plastic on there and enable them.

Theres also better on stuff thats cheaper than dynamat. And you do normally need a good 2 or 3 layers to make a big difference and you have to cover everything especially around and inside the speaker pod that should eliminate a lot more rattling.
-
Give us details as if there is an "official" chip im sure there will be a fair few of us wanting our cars done. But i just dont see it happening.
-
Same on clio forum everyone is saying there getting higher MPG and theres a deffinite increase in power. optimax was 98ron v is 99ron not sure if it makes a difference to me not tried it yet. And sainsburys have a 97ron super cheapest around only a couple pence more usually. And BP ultimate is bloody expensive then again all the BP garages are up here everywhere else is 89.9p for 95ron its still 94.9 at BP.
-
Sounds a bit iffy to me heard of dealers doing this we fitted a chip to it crap before and there was nothing different about the car. As far as im aware there is no chip available that wont invalidate the warranty however remapping is pretty much undetectable just a case of unplugging the battery after its been done and you cant tell its ever been mapped unless you compare it side by side with the original one which no one is going to do.
-
Much cheaper here sainsburys super is 94 or 93 i think currently normal 95 is 89 and V power is 96.9 i think. Gonna go fill it up in a short while so will know then when i passed the esso staition earlier though 95 was 89p

...Odd why the hell cant we get that here!?
-
Ok its in my head when my mates even comment on the fact it runs rougher when on 95ron... And they dont even drive the sodding thing! At no point did i say it had a performance increase i said Seriously it does make a difference the car feels different. Especially while taking off from traffic lights etc

You getting it chipped or remapped? Chipped means an actual physical new chip will be added a remap alters no hardware just software change can be catered to what you want from your car driving style and will be custom to your engine so will always give better results than an off the shelf chip. Mobile remaps from a few companies are less than £300 now from some of the reputatble ones on these cars and they will come to your home load a map on it to begin with then basically play with it till they get it right while driving it.

Are after further looking theres 2 compression ratios it seems for the Z3 M came in 11.5:1 and 10.5:1 depending on the year. And it might not make any performance increase but im telling you now it does make a difference to how smooth the car runs and MPG and im not the only person to have noticed this theres enough people over loads of forums to all say the same thing on various cars.

The newer cars should not suffer form the same teething issues we had. But there are a number of rattles that are usually there main one is passenger door rattle but its a common problem. Not sure if this is also fixed in newer ones to be honest though there isnt any serious issues as with all new cars sometimes you get rattles sometimes you dont. And you wont have to go through the recalls now getting a new one. However it may be worth looking at a 2nd hand one as there going for very little money now. Other than that depends how you drive the car you can get 50+mpg or you can get into the 20's Chipped should see an improvement in MPG over the stock ones and it should be bloody quick as well.

Would suggest some sound deadening if you plan to do it properly on the doors as well as they will get a bit more rattly due to higher powered speakers putting out a bit more oomph. What i plan to do next to my boot and doors to try get it sounding a little nicer.
-
If not you can always cut the exsisting speaker wires should not be too difficult i left mine all hooked up though so its an easy swap back when i come to sell the car no way im leaving the speakers in it when its only a 30 minute job to swap them over.
-
Well just got back from the meet was alright nice to put some faces to names anyway had a bit of a laugh and was nice to see the cars got a bit of attention all parked up next to each other.
-
Yeah there through the rubber conduits not sure how easy it was i didnt do it. Should not be too difficult just a bit fiddly.
-
Ran new cables due to the new crossovers being behind the dash was easier to run new ones.

Isnt the 2.0 138bhp the diesel one im pretty possitive the 143bhp is the petrol one. And there seem to be a fair few people on here with the 2.0 litre engines isnt the highest engine you can get in the exclusive as well i think other than the diesels.
-
There is i think a saloon version as well for the chinese market. Irish also get vans based on the Coupe.

Mines the same whole car vibrates actually think this has been reported by a few people now. Just think its a trait with the cars. And less lumpy when first switched on could be because the revs are higher whe the car is first started if you have not noticed mine usually starts at around 1200rpm but after a few minutes it drops to an idle of around 800rpm. Mines also the 1.6 petrol.
-
very little differnce 320 litre for the hatchback and 314 for the coupe.

Button on the end of your wiper stalk should change this. You have got it set to instant mpg you have 3 options. the 1st being instant the other 2 being averages. You can use one to check everytime you fill up by pressing and holding the wiper stalk button in until it dissapears and 1 to keep a constant measure etc.

No pics of the car yet will get some taken tomorrow hopefully with everyone elses cars. And boot install is fairly simple as a result doesnt take up too much room. Alpine amp is running my front components and the Lanzar is running the Sub. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/install1.JPGhttp://mybigspoon.com/wozza/install2.JPG

Might not be the cause of the problem but the TU engines do run fairly high compression. My 1.6 is 10.8:1 i think. Which is quite high..higher than your Z3 M anyway. So maybe it does make a difference and maybe theres a reason it says use 98ron on the cap. Either way the cars have knock sensors dont they? So shouldnt they be able to cope with differening octane fuels. I have ran my 1.6 on 95ron for a while but it is deffinately smoother on 98ron and does feel better to drive.

Well i will be in the carpark tomorrow from 12. Should be able to see my car from the road so should not be too hard to find. Hope to see a few of you guys there.

Yup i know shame they didnt do a 2 litre turbo VTS. But the 1.6 turbo may be quite good should be quicker than the curent one if its get similar power due to the weight saving. But i still think they shoudl make a more crazy V6 C4 im betting a few people would buy it.
