  1. Bang & Olufsen stuff is just rebranded things from various manufacturers. Its not as amazing as some people think it is either when you start comparing it to other brands. Theres also people over at talk audio that have spent more than that on there car audio systems. As the guy before said its his hobby it would be a bit boring to just tick a box and not actually do anywork to it and have it all setup for you. It took me weeks of messing with my amps to get it near enough perfect. Im still doing occasional tweeks to it now.
  2. Unlucky mate. However this site may be useful to you. http://www.pepipoo.com/ Sure if you post on the forums there some people might be able to try and help you. Also things showing how they had to have thigns set out etc. And gives you some advice on things you should / should not do when you get pulled etc.
  3. Yeah mine did it got some body colour stickers put there. But its mainly from people slamming the boot I think.
  4. Thats your view. Thats how i feel about BMWs, Merc's, VW's, Porsches etc. Whos cars are nearly all boring to look at. Personally I like the retro style muscle look. And also the handling maybe before commenting on that bit you should go and drive one as it is different from the normal stang :/ Thats like me saying a 318 will handle the same as a M3 CSl. Its just bullshit. There very different. Same with the Shelby gt500. To me they look rather good though. http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/02/shelbygt50007_05.jpg Interior isnt exactly flash but theres os many upgrade packs for it you can get in the factory and i have not yet seen one with the upgrade packs in pictures such as the carbon fibre inserts and brushed aluminium dash etc yet. Only pic i could find was this one. http://www.moddedmustangs.com/articles/images/gt500-interior.jpg
  5. Thats your choice then others like myself prefer to have something that does not result in lacking parts of the music. And yes the stock system is ok for a stock system but it annoyed me. I could be listening to some songs and know there should have been certain drums and cymbals in sections which the factory speakers can not reproduce that annoyed me and took away from listening to the song. Hence i upgraded so i could hear the music and all the intruments as they should be. And no cars arent the best thing to put audio equipment in. However considering my home system is rather good as well my car system can reproduce much nicer clearer bass, drop lower and is punchier. My mids / treble need some help though so gonna try couple things to help there. ANd i dunno about losing the flair of the interior, Maybe you should have a look at some becker or nakamichi units and then tell me they would not suit the interior of the C4 as they look factory fit usually. I can also get my weekly shopping for 3 people in the boot with a wheelchair with my audio gear in there so it really does not take up that much boot space. And honestly bootspace does not concern me im 23 im single back living with parents and have nothign that ever needs to be put in the boot except my mums wheelchair. But if i need a bigger car i have a Chevy tacuma as well much easier to get things in that than the C4 anyway.
  6. Mine currently Alpine 9855r HU Alpine T430 Amp running comps. Lanzar Opti 800 running sub sub is an RE SE12 Components currently are a set of cheapo inphaseXT6's which are getting changed as soon as i can get together some more money. Car repairs kind of took the money i had saved up. And i have a slight lacking of job currently.
  7. Well its 24mpg on the computer which when you take into account american gallon is smaller its 28 - 29mpg. Im only saying what a fair few of the owners of new stangs have noticed. The older ones are a bit different obviously and get naff MPG. And £40k for a 500bhp 5.4litre Supercharged V8 same engine as in the Ford GT isnt exactly a lot of money mate. How many other 500bhp cars can you pick up for that brand new? Considering an M3 isnt that cheap and is only as fast as the normal GT not many. And because thyere rare cars here they hold there money more.
  8. OOOOHHHH....... A V8 you say..... ;) Now ya talking.... B) But only at weekends of course...Could'nt run it in the week... :) Diesel for the everyday and a V8 for weekends....mmmmmmmm......I like... :D .... Any pictures...... ... It depends im going to order a few Shelby GT500's and sell a few back here. Then im thinking about getting myself either an ordinary GT and then upgrading it myself or the GT500 for mysel. Odinary GT is winning due to the supercharger config it gives lots of low end power but i'd prefer more power up the rev range. Hence the GT with the charger i want would be perfect. And also capable of 29mpg around town apparently. Already spoken to some guys who own them around my area 29mpg around town in machester for a 450+bhp stang is not bad its easily daily driven wit that consumption. If i can make a decent profit on them checking around new GT500's seem to go for around £44,000 base price. However i can get them back here and road legal ready to drive for £28,000k im sure dealer would pay nearly £40k alone never mind private buyers. Im not the only person to think of thing though seems theres a few on the mustang forums thinking the same thing.
  9. Yep thats what puts me off amazing SQ but the constant servicing and they like to keep CD's inside them.
  10. For known brands i always prefer to go with Pioneer / Alpine more of an Alpine fan personally. But then there are brilliant units by other companies, Becker, Nakamichi etc. Would love to get myself a Nak unit but just dont have the money and i would want to change the amps to something a little nicer first.
  11. Wiring is fine for the amps power think its 4awg or 2awg cant quite remember but only pushing around 800w RMS through it until i upgrade again then will be doing Big 3 and 0awg. But thats if i get the cash together to get an XXX sub or if i drop another SE in instead. I want an XXX though. Right now though the subs taking around 700w RMS and the speakers have about 70w RMS going to them. I just got a bit lazy with doing things i have a half assembled sub box in my room that i really need to finish. As the small sealed enclosure for the SE is just not good enough so building a large vented enclosure. Just dont want to spend anymore on this car really as i may be changing it in the next 12 months. Next car will be getting a monster install though. 2 amps im running is an Alpine T430 think its about 280w RMS according to birth certificate. And the other is a Lanzar Opti series which is 800w RMS @ 1 ohm subs at 1.5 ohm currently.
  12. leo press and hold the button at the end of the wiper stalk that will reset what the MPG trip computer says.
  13. We like pics here. Anytime you wanna post some pics...post em up! And KFK could he not fit the same steering wheel controls as we have on the VTR+ to his SX so that he would not need the standard unit at all?
  14. Nah dont give a damn about MPG lol. If i did I would not be looking to import a V8 Mustang lol. Well actually im importing a few so i can sell some and make some money on them. £28k for a GT500 when there selling here for £44k seems like a good way for me to make some money.
  15. Blaupunkt do a compatible unit with cable etc to keep steering controls. Sony do as well for some of there units. Citroen do offer an MP3 option when you order the car new comes with more speakers amp and sub etc. However any unit you buy will probably be compatible with steering controls soon i have spoken to Alpine who have said it should not take too much longer for there adaptor to come out. You can then either get a BMW - ISO converter for the unit or i think Citroen have an adaptor too. I fitted an Alpine 9855r unit to my car and i honestly dont miss the steering wheel controls all that much anymore. But id say go for a better unit than the Sony not a fan of them they dont sound particularly great generally and they feel rather cheaply put together.
  16. I love the auto adjusting mirror. But im with people on the Coupe seatbelts thing they do get annoying. Also the A pillars do cause a bit of obstruction at times but same with all new cars unfortunately. Couple other little things i dont like the gearchanges arent particulalry great. Power sockets could be located somewhere a little better as well as things get in the way when you have them plugged in.
  17. Does not have to be. Its just if you have to get the unit from Citroen paying there prices you might as well get a unit you can move if you ever change your car rather than being stuck with it and something you can sell on if you dont like it in future.
  18. Under the seats if i remember correctly. Not disabled mine i like knowing if people dont have there belts done up when i have my little cousins in etc.
  19. Mine deffinately rides better than my friends focus he could not believe how smooth it was in comparison and he said the seats were loads better. I wasnt sure of the seats until a recent trip to Liverpool we did in his car. And i got out thinking the seats in the Focus were ***oops***. Nothing like the ones in the C4 which have some nice support as well as comfort. But with the thing about handling if they get a bit skittish during hard cornering its not really anything to worry about though my clio did it as well so im kind of used to it. it wont let go for a fair bit after though it just doesnt give a confidence inspiring feeling. But thats what it is just a feeling the car itself should remain fairly planted. What kind of suspension setup does the focus have on the rear as thats probably the difference im gonna guess its not a torsion beam like the C4. Alternatively lowering springs £108 they are and about £40 fitting. Will see a big difference in handling ability.
  20. Do you have parking sensors? If not i would go for a Pioneer bluetooth unit. Probably work out cheaper as well knowing Citroen prices.
  21. Not really superior except on motorway and accelerating otherwise it handles worse, its slower, and all that extra money for 15mpg extra on the motorway and more frequent services which cost more. Just depends what your doing low mileage drivers diesel is kind of a waste of money.
  22. Can even see the reflection of my yellow 1.1 sporting cinquecento beast on my drive lol.
  23. I dont have reverse sensors. And i doubt he will with it being SX spec.
  24. Does look so much better with the strips and pillars done. And for anyone that wants to see how bad the scratch was before hand. Doesnt show it fully though as the dent in the rear carried on a fair bit http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/scratch.JPG
  25. I thought i said what to do?
