Could also pick up an older evo which is what id look at personally if i was spending that kind of cash or a supra etc. You really have to want a teg i think to buy one here well to get a decent one anyway. Wheels dont look so bad at standard ride height my gaps arent that big really but i swear the suspension has got lower recently or it seems it to me :S Afterall your only adding around 1/2" if that to your ride high but filling the gap out a bit as well. If you want to be different though look at the C6 18" wheels i would love a set of those myself.

Haha mate what you need to do is get some tints, colour coding and wheels and lowering springs. Although a teg would be cool just could not bring myself to spend that kind of insurance money on one for what it is. Just cause its an import it goes into group 20.

Need to put some sound deadning in my own car just dont have the money to at the moment its going on the body repairs / colour coding. Do need to find someway of securing the boot trim though not sure what the best way to go about doing it is yet and well i have been too lazy to be bothered messing with it.

Going up the M1 to leeds way then doubling back isnt that bad last time i went down there for FCS i did it that way coming home was much quicker than going via the A routes but a lot less fun on the drive.

Those speakers sound a whole lot better on an aftermarket unit i was quite surprised at the difference when i got my new headunit. Speakers sound good for a reason if you know you audio taking the doors on the C4 apart reveals why they sound rather good though just the way they are built into the doors makes a big difference. Not bad on getting the 9706ag fitted for free though always nice getting freebies. Had to go buy some new airfreshners today £10.53 they cost me for 2! Not cheap anyways. Quite happy getting my body work quote though so that made up for it hes not charging me anything to do my A and B pillars. only the scratch and side mouldings.

Welcome to the forums mates gonna come to the C4 meet only a couple week away in manchester only 30 minutes away form you via the ringroad. Should come along meet some other owners be better to find out what other problem we have in person if any. Getting bloody good MPG though from that engine i have to say. Not sure if we have many 92hdi owners n here though most opted for at least the 110. And the C4 build quality is rather good i know a few people on here complain but some of us have had very little problems and after comparing to a mates MK4 golf he even agrees the interior on mine is better so does my mate who owns a focus. But i guess when you get a lemon its gonna be awful.

Had my dash to bit literally more than once. headunit install, speaker install etc. No rattles what so ever. If it is rattling tell your dealer or take it apart yourself if your up to the job and got some time. Pretty much taken my entire car to bits now can tell you just about hot to get off every panel on the car without braking a clip. And vibrations on mine are non exsistent on a 1.6 VTR+ and its been on the other side of 120mph before now.

I can do a direct comparison actually as my main and near enough only trip recently has been to and from the shopital to see my mum thats all the car is being used for currently. A 30 minute drive to the hospital each day. That was until i took my friends to doncaster airport the other day thats the only time its been on the motorway recently.

cars done 8000 miles. but there was a difference between 1 tank and if anything i think i have driven the car harder. it was in the triple digits area on the speedo the other day.

Cant comment on the diesel have not driven one myself. But the 1.6 deffinately does feel better smoothness wise and i used to get 29mpg in mine i now get 31mpg with optimax. Thats just compard to the last 4 fillups.

Just a few problems then lol. 1) had it for a couple weeks went away by itself. 2) Used to get this mentioned it to dealer when my car was there for a couple days been fine since although not sure what they did. 3) No problems with my rev counter 4) Mines fine again. 5) mine does not light up either only the windows. 6) No missfire on mine but mines a petrol engine very silent although idle is a bit lumpy when you first start the car lot of new cars are like this now its an emissions thing apparently helps to keep them lower at startup. 7) Dealer should be able to sort this know issue on a few of them that the suspension clonks had my fronts sorted a few weeks ago was just a bushing though.

Theres no performance increase but the car seems smoother at takeoff. Try it yourself Z3 if you dont take our words for it and see what you think couple tanks and i bet you noticed improved MPG etc.

Just bumping this up. Went and had a look at the blue one in manc today while i was there the interior is so nice. Although lot of the plastic materials are the exact same as used in the C4 even down to the pattern on them but thats no bad thing really. The leather seats look lovely though. As does most of the car. But after looking at that one today i want those 18" wheels for my C4. Wonder how much they will be to buy aftermarket.... Thought they were only 17" wheels until i was next to the car but could tell they were bigger. Car looks really good im just not as big a fan of it when you ee it straight on from the side and rear etc it looks stunning though and the white interior looks so nice. Lets see what these are like in 3 years time to buy if there gonna be as cheap as whats said then i may be looking at one for myself.

Just went and got some quotes to repair my scratch / dent along the passenger door and rear quarter and to do my rub strips and also change my A and B pillar black plastics to the black metallic colour of the spoiler...£300 Not bad it will be going in soon for that. Quite happy with that price though.

optimax isnt just a high octane petrol though it has a cleaning agent in it as well which keeps your engine running better. Can say the difference is noticeable on the 1.6 which i know it should not be but well when my friend comments its not running the same as usual when i had tesco fuel in it i know its not just physcological.

Just got home averaging 11.7mpg at an average speed of....6mph ***oops*** roadworks ;) Got it to 34mpg the other day though due to a trip to doncaster knocking it up compared ot the usual mainly town driving i do now.

Had discussions like this before some of us have noticed differences others have not i got a noticable difference and higher mpg in mine. Car just seems smoother when taking off etc.

Gonna be in pilsworth mate. on the weekend of the 9th fancy turning up even though your kind of driving a 1 series we know how much you love the C4 might make you decide to actually get one! lol. And i cant think where that would be could be a few places thought it might be saint anns square or around there. or up near the art gallery maybe but dont think theres a mini roundabout at any of those places. Should really know since i lived minutes away from those places for nearly a year lol. Then again i have never used the metro buses.
