I have a 52 reg (Feb 2003) C3 1.4i SX Automatic on Motability. Lately the gears have been slipping and it keeps going into Snow mode. So I phoned my Dealer the guy said oh have the RAC to bring it up straight away sounds like the Automatic gear box has gone but we can't do it for 2 weeks and you will have to phone Motability for a courtesy car because we don't have any Automatics. So I phoned Motability and they don't do any adapted cars. So I emailed another Citroen Dealer and he got back and said Citroen UK has 4 Automatic gear boxes in stock and can't see why your dealer can't do it now. He said we can't do it because we didn't supply the car to you which is fair enough. So I phoned my dealer back and told them what this guy said and they gave me a different story. Oh it could be done in a day but staff are off sick and we are are fully booked for 2 weeks. So still got the car. No way im sending it to them just for it to parked up on the forecourt for 2 weeks. The same thing happend to My Saxo 1.4i SX Auto V reg (Feb 2000). They told me the gear box would be back in 2 weeks yeah right it was off the road for 6 weeks. And I had to do without a car When the Saxo had the first MOT in Dec 02 it failed. This C3 has been a nighmare since I had it. It has a big list of faults.

They are to big for the wheels but every Saxo Desire have them. The Saxo Desire are 14inch where the Saxo Forte and the Saxo First are 13 inch. Silly en't it.
-
The Wheel trims are just as bad on my sisters 2002 Citroen Saxo 1.1i Desire

My Automatic Gear box is on its way out. The gears are slipping and it keeps going into snow mode. The Gear box went on my last Saxo.

I have no idea. You should try another Citroen Dealer and complain to Citroen UK about your local Dealer. I have a 52 (2003) reg C3 1.4i SX Auto Tuscan Blue.

My Friend had a S reg Jan 99 Skoda Felicia 1.3i then he had to renew it in Jan 02 So I told him to get a Saxo 1.1i Desire. He liked the Saxo but he prefered the Skoda he found it was bigger than the Saxo and faster. He only had one fault with the Skoda in November 2001 it had a leak in the sunroof but apart from that he said it was a great car. He is having A C3 1.4HDi Desire in Jan 05

I have a C8 manual and if you look it says model according to Country.

Before on my Saxo Automatic you could leave it in D or N and pull the handbreak and it would not move and you could leave it in N with the handbreak off and it would not move but on this C3 if its in D and you pull the handbreak up it would still move.

Oh do you find with your Sensodrive that if you are on a bit of an hill and you want reverse for about 2 secsonds it still rolls forwards. Its dangerous on my Auto because I have nearly hit cars when parking. Lee

My Automatic have had its Faults All The Faults on My C3 Since I had it on 24/2/03 1 Week old the Electric window broke when I was far from home which I had to drive for 3 hours with the window open. Not a good Start 2. Petrol guadge put a full tank in. Still stuck on the red for about a week. 3 August 2003 Driving the car now came to a top of a hill and I stopped to let a car come then I pulled off as I pulled off I thought this car is quiet and I went to press the brake and it cut out. So I was coming down a steep hill about 60mph I say and there was a sharp corner on the bottom with houses right in front. So as I got to the bottom I just managed to make the corner on the other side of the road lucky there were no cars coming the other way. So I took it to the Dealer. Can't find any faults. 4. October 2003 Needed New Break Pads at 15,000 miles 5 December 2003 Needed a New Third Stop light bulb and The Gear box checked because it was going into snow mode on its own and it made a bang. Couldn't find a fault 6. Feb 2004. Exactly one year old and my window switch broke again. Luckily it was at home but I had to stay with the car intill the RAC came it was -1 that night. 7 March 2004 Still going into snow mode so had it checked again. There was a fault so they fixed that in May after waiting so long for the parts. And now its starting to do it again. 8. My Breaks are getting stuck. Took it to the dealer yesterday can't find any faults.. Its not due for renewal intill 24/2/06 Lee

I got a C3 1.4i SX Automatic (Not Sensodrive) Should have had the same as me. If you want to make it go faster it has sport mode on there. It also has Snow mode which can be used as an option not like Sensodrive. You can change the gears manual but not controls on the wheel like Sensodrive and it has 4 gears where the Sensodrive has 5 gears. Lee

What Saxo SX have you got. I used to have a V Feb 2000 Saxo 1.4i SX Automatic 5 Dr Posedion blue. Got a C3 SX now

Hi I think it is awful that you have been without a car for a month. they could have give you a courtesy car. If you are buying your car on finance I would tell them why I should I pay for the month I was without a car.
-
Hi Tony. I think it is awful that your Dealer haven't give you a courtesy car. You shoulod claim expensis for all your traveling because at the end of the day the longer you are with out a car the more money it is costing you. What Citroens have you had in the Past
-
What engines are they using for Automatic Transmission and what trims. like the C3 has the 1.4i SX Auto and a 1.6i 16v Exclusive Sensodrive. I know the Saxo had a 1.4i 3 speed Automatic intill last year.

IT IS A PROBLEM WHEN YOU FILL IT UP SAY FOR EXAMPLE £10 AND IT IS JUST ON THE RED ALL THE TIME NO BARS JUST THE ORANGE LITTLE LIGHT. I REFERE THE NEEDLE GUADGE ON THE SAXO
-
Gavin Hill is very good and he gives you answers to your question's
-
It will only operate then when you start the car and turn it off and it will last for another 30mins.

My brother had his C3 in February and the dealer said that Citroen Assist was with RAC now and not Greenflag. well I noticed in the C3 Manual Case was the Citroen Assist details and number and the stickers was on the car and the next you know my brothers driver's side window would not close so he called Citroen Assist and they Said Greenflag dose not do it no more. So why give the greenflag number where it is RAC Number you should have.

My C3 have had the same problem it cuts out when it come to an hault. mine is a 1.4i SX Auto
