My brothers SX Auto has been a nightmare from week 1. Thats why I picked the Sensodrive version. Look at my previous posts regarding his car you know what I mean oh and by the way make sure you or your wife check the engine hasen't cut out b4 going down an hill. Read my posts on here and you will know what I mean. Im glad the dealer admitted fault.

I just been on a C2 Forum Web site they think they are better than us C3 owners. They reckon the C3 is crap compare to the C2 VTR and VTS well why is our C3 Exclusive worth more and has better features. Digital Air Con is a cost option on the C2 VTR and VTS. I said about our new display screen they thought that was dangerous it was better to see the mpg on the speedo. They are gelous but don't like to admit it. How is all you cars going anyway?

My brother has a 2003 52 Reg C3 1.4i SX Auto. The gear box went after 2 years old and while they were fitting the new gear box they noticed the car needed new shock absorders aswell. Didn't the garage who did the MOT check your suspension. I have a 05 C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive Sensodrive alot better than 1.4i SX Auto. Can anyone else edit your posts. Some1 has put Rubbish by Renault (Rubbish) in my last message and I can't get rid of it.

What I find lately with Citroen is the the trim levels don't have many extras especialy on the C3 This is what the C3 Exclusive has over SX Leather Steering Wheel Alarm Cruise Control 15" Lynx Alloy Wheels Child Pack Extra interior mirror and back picknic tables Moduboard Silver Door Handles/Boot Moulding Between 2002 - 2004 Early 54 reg. The Exclusive used to have these CD Draw Electric Folding Mirrors was standared on all C3s not fitted anymore 12v Socket Parking Permit Clip was standared on all C3s not fitted anymore At least with the Picasso and C4 and C5 there is alot more extras on the Exclusive models than its lower models as for the C3 there is not much difference between SX and Exclusive I notice my dealer has alot of 02 and 52 reg C3 Exclusives for sale lately. Im glad I had the 1.6i 16v Sensodrive Exclusive and not the 1.4i SX Auto but if I was buying the car I would want a bit for my moneys worth. I tell you what im surprised that the 1.6i 16v Sensodrive can catch up with cars with bigger engines. I over took another C3 Exclusive the New Tigra the other day. The 1.6i 16v is alot faster than the 1.4i SX Auto. Wonder how nippy is the C3 1.6i 16v VTR. Why don't you test drive one Ian or the new C3 1.6HDi SX/Exclusive/XTR I see Renault (Rubbish) are doing a Sensodrive system on the New Clio in October 2005 I like Citroen the best but the other cars I can say I do like is Peugeot 206/206cc/307cc Renault (Rubbish) Megane Cabriolet 1996 - 2003 New Vauxhall Tigra Ford Focus Hey I wonder will the New C1 will have any faults? The C4 seems to be going well at the moment.

Well jazzster. I told the head Machanic about the wheel spinning and he was trying to put the blame on my Handcontrols. But he is always blaming something else. He is the same when it comes to my brothers C3 and his last Saxo. Now the Handcontrol company tests the controls on the car first before it is handed over to me. I remember I went with my neighbour to the dealer back in January about his Power Steering going on the Saxo so we told this head Machanic same guy who I just mention and he said oh I don't really want to change the coil and the locks etc so if it goes again come back up and the car was due to go back in 3 weeks time to motability so the warranty ended on the 25 January 2005 so my neighbour said to him what if my power steering goes on a corner when im doing about 40mph - 50mph the head machanic said oh you are a strong bloke you could manage to turn it. Now thats not the point is it. There was another time he said he would get a new Auto gear Box for my brothers Saxo in 2 weeks yeah right 6 weeks it took altogether. And he has been the same with my brother over his C3 aswell talk about customer service hey!

I forgot to mention aswell the 1.6HDi is also avalible on XTR.

Well lets put it this way when I drive my brother 1.4i SX Auto I always put it in sport mode because that the only way you get power out of it even on the hills. Mind you im glad I had the exclusive because of the Alloys my brother have lost 2 wheel trims on the SX within under 2 years which are 13 each. on the his Saxo SX they never came off. What let me down with the Exclusive is the CD Draw they have taken away and the parking ticket holder :angry: I am having the same problem at junctions aswell. Do you miss your old C3 Exclusive?

Oh right I see. I have driven the car on few long journeys for a ride like from South Wales to Mid Wales and back for a ride on country roads. And there is alot of hills around where I live as I live about 15 miles from the Brecon Beacons. My car keeps wheel spinning on the hills aswell. I stop at a junction on a hill the other day and obviously the gear box drops into 1st so I went to pull my handcontrol up for it to go and it wasen't and the next thing you know. it skids away and reving all the way up the hill intill I changed it up with the paddle so I will tell the dealer about this on tuesday and when im turning the stering wheel and when I go to indicate the indicator won't click down I got to hold it down intill my wheel is at a different angle. which is hard for me as I can't have 2 hands on the wheel. My brothers don't do this. I don't regret having this C3 though. Im learning how to stop it rolling back on hills now. If I was buying this C3 would have liked leather interior. Im surprised you didn't do that jazzster. I like the Exclusive version but for some1 like you jazzster who is buying theirs it must be a bit of a disapointment with the features compare to the SX. Like my brothers C3 SX is just over 2 years old and myC3 is better but now the SX don't seem much different compare to the Exclusive now compare to when the C3 came out in 2002 you could tell the difference. They also changed the Front Headrests now haven't they. My borther has the ones you can push in and out.

Oh I forgot to mention when I booked my car in for a service I said to the dealer that my mpg keeps going up and down all the time the most I have had is 32.8mpg and the lowest 25.5mpg and he said to me it takes around 3,000 miles to get better mpg but on yours jazzster I noticed on your pic with you DVD player your mileage clock was on 600 odd and you display screen showed 41mpg. The 1.4i SX Auto dose 41mpg and according to the book it says that the 1.6i 16v Exclusive Sensodrive dose 45mpg that was one of the reasons I went for this one.

Hi I would take it to your Dealer ASAP to get it done under warranty or dose it have over 60,000 miles on the clock? If you was going to France at a later date you could have asked Citroen UK for a free copy of the Citroen Dealer network area directory France Edition it is like our UK edition which we get with the car. They stopped doing the 12v socket on the C3 now. My brother has one on his 52 2003 C3 SX but I didn't have one on my 05 2005 C3 Exclusive. Stupid to stop doing them

I have booked my C3 for its 1,000 miles service on 21/6/05 and to have a check done on the Sensodrive Gear Box.

Thants ok when my brother had is brand new C3 in Feb 2003 late 52 plate the dealer gave the terms and condition and stickers to put on the car it was greenflag when we caleed them in March 2003 to fix a fault they said they haven't been apart of Citroen Assist for months its RAC you should be contacting but luckily RAC is the Motability Breakdown service anyway. I got a motability car its just over a month old but if I have any faults within the year I will use Citroen Assist because why should Motability pay for any faults within the first year.

I drove my C3 today there is 900 miles on the clock now. I am enjoying my car
