Rang Citroen UK, found out that my C3 warrenty can be used ant any dealer, even though the last year is "Dealer" warrenty. So, since Telfords cannot fix the oil guage, lets see if Ellis Davis can.

why do citroen dealers never have parts in stock? Every thing my C3 has needed and most thing my saxo needed always had to be ordered and always took weeks.

Your drawings are accurate, but mine does not have it. They did try to make it work, but it doesn't. I'm slowly putting together a web site as i am really anoyed about my car. if i could afford it i would trade it in.

Hope you do get your problem sorted. Have they said anything about it coming back?

I find it very difficult to pursuade my dealer when there is something wrong with my car.

mine pulls to the left and the Dealer put it down to Camber.

My windscreen seems fine, wow something correct in my C3! Not really tried it from the pasanger side but noone else has complained.

did you ever get your problem sorted? I don't have cruise, so at least that isn't faulty on my car. ;)

Does anyone's with an HDI-16 SX (in blue) tell them how much oil is in the engine when they turn the key? Mine does not, and the Lx I borrowed does. The dealer tried to get it to work but failed. ;) I met someone who has owned Citroens for 30 years. He never had problems like me. Why me? :(

Well my C3 is back. The engine sounds different than when it went away, and sounds slightly louder. Is the new Cam shaft different enough to make a different noise?

My C3 is on its way back to me now after having the recall parts fitted. Hopefully it will never have to go back again. Except for a service.

I have an SX with a Modu-board. How? Because according to the Dealer when ALL C3s are sent to the Dealer, they come with a Modu-board already in. The dealer is instructed to remove it. And in mine they forgot. Much to the suprise of the salesman showing me my car before i drove it away. So unless Citroen now take them out at the factory the Dealer should have one. But they don't like to talk about it. For a lump of plastic its quite usefull.

With regards to not having things like automatic headlights and oil temp. My SX is supposed to have an oil level indicator on ingnition. It doesn't. But i didn't mind till I found out the LX I borrowed as a courtesy car had one. The dealer has gone in and enabled it, but it still doesn't work. So some features appear to just need enabled by the Dealer. If they work. My engine seems ok at the moment. It had a few pauses when overtaking when cold, but fine after that. maybe its fixed.

Not sure if this is the right place for this. After having my C3 taken away by Greenflag on two occasions, I discovered Citroen no-longer deal with greenflag, so I only get 3 days car hire. Unfortunatly my car was not ready by this time, but my Dealer assured me that everything would be ok and just to keep the car, Citroen assist would arrange for the hir to be extended. Of course it wasn't, and after many calls to my dealer they contacted the hire company, and told me to keep the car till mine was ready. Everything seemed fine untill I recieved a large bill for unauthorised car hire, and after contacting the company, ahve found that I am liable for and nobody contacted them to extend it. Contacted dealer, but when I eventualy got to talk to someone, they couldn't help and I must wait till monday before someone will ring back. What happened to my Citroen assist? It was included in the price of my car, why have I not been given new details of who to contact @ RAC who now run it?

Sorry, but I couldn't let you buy one thinking it ws perfect. If they ever sort the problems it will be a car to recomend. Mine is finaly going in on 10th of March. Will let you know what happens. Think I shall by a merc next.

Ahh, but how do they work? Is it something sliding in to stop locks popping up or is it like an alan key the citroen turns somewhere else?

mine also does that silly thing, it can happen when crusing along at 60 too. But on a bad day it does the no power at all.

Gteuk, who else make car manuals like Haynes? Not being a mechanic type never noticed any.

1.4 HDI-16 valve 92 horsepower (except when overtaking :P ) But if you read all the other posts you can see it may be due to a recall work needing done. Or it may not. But a few people have the problem as you can see. The 1.4 HDi I drove before I got mine seemed fine for the 85 miles I drove it. If noone else has the same problems maybe one of those would be better. You get an extra 5 mpg out of it, but I would burn you off along the road in mine. When/if its fixed. HDi-16, its a satus symbol. Except its not written on the back of the car so noone knows.

Still waiting for the parts for mine, my Dealer said they would phone me this week to book it in. Would we have these same problems if we had bought Peugot?

Mine has got better with the warmer weather. Maybe it thinks its in France and behaves better.
