Very nice, they look really smart in blue :o

One problem I have had with my C1 is the reflection of the dash board top in the screen :( Most of the time it's fine, but when the car is in bright sunshine (admittedly rare this summmer!) and driving towards a shaded area of the road, I find it very difficult to see what's coming. Is it just me as no one seems to have mentioned this? Anyway, I've found some textured rubber flooring with little diamond lumps on the back and I've cut a piece to lie on top of the dash on the drivers side only. On top of the airbag didn't seem too clever :D So far it seems a big improvement, but I haven't had really testing road conditions so far.

You misunderstand me. Only an imbecile would say that a 1.0l car on 155 tyres is faster than a 2.0l on 205s! What I'm saying is that they are fun to drive in an enthusiastic way, and most drivers never use more than 25% of their cars abilities. Consequently, a briskly (not dangerously) driven C1 can leave some dawdling drivers of much faster cars behind :)

Welcome to the forum :D They are great fun aren't they :) I enjoy watching drivers of much faster cars failing to lose mine on country roads :)

We're lucky, Vibe, rhythm and code sound a lot better than "pinko" The chrome does look good :(

Sorry to hear that, it happens so much now, it makes me wonder if it's worth bothering to try and keep a nice car :(

How Is Everyones Red Warning Triange Button Looking ?
downsman replied to ColinC1's topic in C1 - General
Not yet! I've heard they break, so I've never used it :) I think the only time I wanted to use hazards was after a crash on a main road years ago. Of course they didn't work then because the battery had disconnected itself in the accident  -
Help! Order Placed 4 Weeks Ago But Citroen Dealer Can't Get Me
downsman replied to shilley's topic in C1 - General
Yes when I bought ours, the price they was asking was a lot less than the figure Whatcar said you should bargain the dealer down to :) I prefer the C1 front too, I don't like the 107 smiley mouth much, but the yellow 107 is the best colour  By the way ritbitboy welcome to the forum  , it must be nice to really like the cars you're selling. Just a shame they're so hard to come by! -
Welcome to the forum :) I'm sure you'll enjoy your car, I have fun driving my C1 vibe and I've been driving 26 years :D

Help! Order Placed 4 Weeks Ago But Citroen Dealer Can't Get Me
downsman replied to shilley's topic in C1 - General
Good point :( I'd much prefer to wait for my new car than get one thats been sitting in a muddy field for six months like they used to in the bad old days ;) -
Strangely, in my experience they usually go wrong in the first year :o
-
Certainly not this summer! One way to get a guide to a competitive price would be to see what a site like drivethedeal.com is asking for the Rhythm
-
Welcome to the forum :) I can see why you don't get to borrow the car, if I'm driving I always take the C1 even if I've got 400 miles to do in a day (as happened when my brother bought a car recently and needed a lift!)
-
I'm sure you'll be pleased with the car  Which model/colour did you go for?
-
I'm now getting 54mpg cruising at about 75mph on motorway driving. I think this amazingly good for such a tiny car ;)
-
Nice picture looks like red is the colour at the moment  We have a red 5 door, I would have liked yellow if it was like the Peugeot colour. Unfortunately, the Citroen yellow is greenish and makes the cars look a little unwell
-
Nothing sad about it, I like small cars because they are light, efficient and generally more fun to drive than big cars
-
Welcome to the forum ;) I hope you're as happy with the C1 as I've been! I had to drive for eight hours yesterday, and the car was brilliant and I had no aches or pains afterwards :(
-
If you do that, you'll need 4 tyres at once  My theory, is to let the fronts wear out, the put the replacements on the rear, so you can wear out the rears (now fronts) and do the same next time. This way you only replace 2 at a time, and the rears don't get too old to grip well :)
-
You're getting better mpg than I have so far, so I'm not going to offer advice on that score :o What I would say is, it's a good idea to vary the revs a bit while running in, and you definitely don't want it labouring in too high a gear. I would rev it a fair bit while getting up to speed, and as soon as you're cruising change to the highest gear that it will take comfortably.
-
What a pain! Hope you get it soon :o
-
It's good to hear you think they're OK :( I've been happy with my clutch gearbox so far (touch wood :) ), but when you see how many people constantly rock back and forth at junctions slipping the clutch, you can see why the manufacturers blame the driver!
-
I finally got a couple of longer journeys in and did 340 miles, half on motorway at 65 to 75mph. And the rest out of town driving quite rapidly at 50 to 70 when possible, and I got 52mpg

The mod looks good, but having heard people have problems with leaks around the lights, I'm inclined to leave them alone until they need changing

If you're so touchy about the subject, why did you call it a :
